Would this work well? A SP Freak on a BL Defiant? The Defiant is low pressure, so does the Freak have too much porting and rifling to run at that pressure, or would too much gas be wasted?
Thanks
BTW, i didn't know which forum to put this in: electros, or barrels/paint
So Sorry

It'd be graet, yeah, it's a little hard on gas but thats a poor excuse not to get one, best barrel all around

Timmy is lower pressure and I run a freak on mine and havent noticed anything more than slight shot count drop off. However, the accuracy is so good it scares me. A ref was behind a bunker and all I could see were his goggles, took 2 shots, one hit his gogs and the other his collarbone. The spread is so tiny that shots that were normally a waste of pain turn into eliminations that the guy never sees coming. Great barrel, definately get one

Yeah, same question as Richy, but what I wanna know, is what inserts do you use the most? I HAD a freak... well i was going to put it on an Impulse, but that fell thru and I traded it in towards my intimidator. So now i wanna get a freak for the intimidator, but I don't really wanna buy all the inserts... might be cheaper tho.. but at any rate...
what inserts do you find the most usefull?
I'm SO gonna get the stainless steel back and green front tho.. (gotsa a green to yellow fade)

hey twicho what front do you have? I heard that they are now putting on the tear drop barrel front for it but they messed it up some how and now its not as good as the old freak front, i dunno if im right but my friend told me this, he probably found the sugar again i bet

I got a stainless back and a Teardrop front. They come in a choice of teardrop of All American. The teardrop is quiet as hell IMO, and the only difference between alumin and SS back is weight and looks. performance wise, they're the same. Insert I use most is the 689, but I only got to use it ocne, so that dont count much :)

i got teardrop front and regular back. Ive used 2 different types of rec ball, and zap preformance plus at a tourney. If u ever use rec ball and its not always the same type of ball, then u need all the inserts. ive used the .693, .682, and .691.

682? Did you mean 692? 682 is some SMALL paint...

actually now its not that small. RPS claims that thier new advantage balls are now between .682 and .685, and ive seen some diablo balls at .682, and maybe direct hit is that small. (haven't used it, but i heard its small).

Direct Hit is more of a .684 .. but i think it varies

im just wondering if it is worth while to go with the whole kit or just the one that comes with 4 barrels, also what size freak you got, im thinking on going with a 10inch barrel

Yeah I ordered a 12 inch (my favorite size for barrels) and a 14 arrived. So until I buy my new front in a couple o weeks I'm temporarily using a 14. Not that I really care, it's all the same to me, not gonna be any more or less accurate, and I can still tuck in tight with the 14, just not as comfortably as I'd like. Oh well. The 10-12 would be your best bet

Hey, whos your sponser? What do they do?

Wouldn't a 10" Freak be just as accurate as a 12" or 14" (or beyond) ??
If, of course, same consistancy and setup and stuff?

Yes a 10 inch would be just as accurate but doesnt feel anywhere near as nice when sighting as a 12 inch does. Also, SP barrels are INSANELY ported and the only difference in the different lengths is the length of unported barrel. The 10 inch only has like 6 inches of unported barrel, while the 12 has 8 I believe. Much better efficiency. But yes, accuracy is the same between all of them. And our sponsor bought us Jerseys (Animal paintball) with names and numbers printed on back and all they wanted was their logo on the jerseys. naturally we agreed because hey... FREE JERSEYS!

Is there anything majorly wrong w/ having a 10" freak?
How much efficetcy is lost? And w/ a good regulator and good basic setup, will it do much to efficenicy?

No there isnt anything majorly wrong or anyhting, but Buhey/Defiants are Low Pressure guns, and 10 inch freaks just dont work so hot on LP guns. It wont be anything major like loss of accuracy, just maybe 100 less shots from your tank. If you can handle that, then get it. Though the important thing (accuracy) is gonna be the same. No reg or tank will change your efficiency though

well, it helps if they don't leak

What size of barrel would be good for a LP gun? (defiant) 12"?
The thing i don't get is why did SP make the 10" freak tips have so much porting?!?! They know front players are going to have LP guns like the small and compact defiant/bushys, and they know that the front players will want as short as barrel as possible. so why woudln't they make a 10" tip w/ not so much porting?
stupid sp
