ehh i dont reccomend the nVader either.. I have it, but i wish i didnt. The foam is quite uncomfortable, and the field of vision isnt so great, for that $38 you can get a spectra, with better foam, and better lense...

Everything else you have listed there sounds good, the 98 is a reliable gun, although a bit long, and is really difficult to field strip, lots of little pieces and such...Look into some other guns, like the Piranha STS or the Spyder TL+, i have a spyder SE and im very happy with it! I stripped my gun, cleaned and oiled the whole thing before my friend even got his 98 apart, so consider that... Either way you are getting a good gun.

That looks like a pretty good setup. You might want to see about a drop forward becasue the m98 can get pretty long with a 20 oz and a 12/14 in barrel. I would recomend the Psycho Ballistics Drop Forward.

My friend, even tho you are a newbie you have some paintballing wisdom. I am glad to see no BE products in your list (I know i will get flamed with the "BE brings players to paintball at an affordable price speech but u have to admit their products suck). The 98 kicks butt and the J&J is perfect for it if you shoot the right paint. But i wouldnt get the X-fires. Granted they are cheap and they will work but in the long run you will want a better mask. Get a thermal JT nVader (wear a hat backwards with it so it doesnt slip down tho) the foam is comfy and the vents in front actually vent so your not suckin your warm breath all game. Otherwise get a Scott system, they have better thermal lenses than the JT (but the JT does just fine).

O, i forgot to mention...if u have that 20oz. tank u might want a DF later and get a 14'' J&J. Also if u play woods u must conside a sight such as an Adco sure shot/hot shot or a vantage (my favorite). True Tippmanns need a litlle more dissassembly and are harder to adjust but they are a tank! You cant find a stronger more reliable gun out there.

waaiiiit!!!!!!! Don't buy it! Don't buy any 98 unless it is a custom! You don't want a m98 which is not a custom it is a pain in the *** to put anything in! The custom has the most upgrades than any other gun and is the same price as the m98 regular!
