Telling if good or bad PAint
Ok how can I tell if paint is good or bad, besides it being funny shaped or dimply?

I ask this because I went to one of my 7 local shops. The one I went to yesterday is a Military Supply/ Paintball shop (the guy is a wannabe crazy veteran). Well I wanted to buy some Diablo paint that he sells for $40 a box but then he told me that this other paint at $34 a box was better. He then showed me the rolling test (okay) but then he precided to bounce the other paint on the floor. The ball hit the floor and practically hit the roof without breaking like 3 times.

He said that because it bounced like that it was better.

Is this true, I was so confused that I told him ill be back next week.

So is what he said true? That the bouncy ball was better

If you have the Internet go to www.copaintball.com and buy some good PMI. If not get an APG magazine and phone in an order. I would say that kind of bouncing paint is a no go unless you like to inflict paint on people.

The best way to tell if its good paint, is if there's a noticable seam, or dimples in the ball then its not a good ball, also if it has oil on it most likely it wont be good.

Think about it. If he took a marble and dropped it on the floor it's not going to make it good to shoot on the field.

If you're playing in Winter outside weather then you'll need a little thicker shell paint. But to throw paint on the floor and have it bounce to the ceiling your never gonna get it to break on someone if you hit them. Probably just knock them unconscious or make them quit through pain.

I personally find that if paint dropped from approx 4 feet (dropped not thrown) breaks on impact, then I consider that a good paint. Anything other than that and you had better get lucky when playing and hit a gun, mask, or anything else pretty hard.

That guy is either a masochist, not the brightest bulb, or trying to unload crappy paint.

Stick with Diablo. They make some good paint. 32 degress, same manufacturer. RP makes some good stuff as well.
