the spyder series (excluding the EM1) have a nice variety of guns, taht are equaly nice for the beginner player. The nice thing is if you are ona a budjet, you can get a Spyder Compact 2k for less than a hundred, and if you're not, you can get the Shutter for 230, although i don't recommend the shutter.
yeah!.......what TLplus84 said .....
i was gonna get the SHUTTER but the people set me up!...
everyone at my post....
i have a question post.....said that the TL plus is the most recomended gun!....but nobody has told me about the
GT COMMANDO 2 YET!!!.......

The GT Commando two is another gun that is made by national paintball supply, and i really don't recommend it because it is hard to upgrade..it is essentially a spyder clone, but it's a little different, making it hard to modify. that and it's pretty ugly..they make good rental guns though..

im guessing that this didnt work?...but if it did there is the SHUTTER!

Go with the Piranha VTL or BL for a begginer gun. I sell them for $110 starting. For $300 I can get you a Piranha STS, 20 oz CO2, thermal lense mask, and a hopper. As for the guy that said something about the cold weather barrel, that is bull. You can get cold weather formula paint, but a barrel????
Check out the piranha at http://www.buypmi.com
Give me a call at 616-836-5461 if you want ANY equiptment. Give me a shot before you go elsewhere.
Good shooting,

the kid named "Ryan" is on track with hes thinking. I hate too see another person waste their money on something like a 98. I suggest going with a Tricked Piranha. *Tricks are above*

go to xpaintball.com thats where i got all this
spyder se
gun oil
hopper and elbow
16 oz co2
barrel plug
squegee
All this was 230
You can get an adco imp sight- decent fro $17 at shop4paintball.com-and some that are more expensive. that makes it like 250. You can get a really nice mask for 50 anywhere online-best at xpaintball. But heres the kicker-you want a barrel. stocks are terrible. I suggest if you want to stay with spyder for you're next upgrades (you should-the se can upgrade a ton-it can compare with most guns with enough upgrades and spyder has an em1 that is a good next gun). If you do stay with spyder get a 14 inch ironman two piece boomstick at shop4paintball.com for only 105. It retails everywhere for 140-awsome deal. This is the ultimate package-you will be set. It is 400 but the barrel will last forever and you can lower it some-lees expensive mask, co2 whatever. i dotn have a pic of my spyder se-it looks awesome-its on xpaintball.com

If you're gonna be playing in the cold, and using CO2, you're definately going to want an expansion chamber. The reason, is that CO2 when it is cold or pressurized, is in a liquid state. When it expands, it cools down the area around it (though it warms up, chemistry stuff, trust me on this if you havent taken chem), this can cause your gun to freeze up on you, or 'cause o-rings to freeze and not seal properly in really bad cases, and you may start leaking as a result. Also, without an expansion chamber, liquid CO2 can go directly into your gun, and then expand, making the pressure higher, and causing your paintballs to shoot alot faster than they should be (this is very bad). And you get better gas efficiency with an expansion chamber, it may just look like a fancy grip, but it's oh so much more :)

Whaddayameen tricked by a 98. Best buy out of the box! No babysitting of delicate gun = more playtime.

I don't know if you have bought anything yet but here is my recommendation for spending $300 for a complete package.
Rebel Limited Edition Package
includes: Jt x-fire mask, 9oz. CO2, VL 200 hopper, barrel plug, and 200 paintballs.
Total including shipping: $206.95
add a 14" Dye boomstick(spyder threads): $313.77
That is a complete package with a boomstick for $313.77 (which includes shipping)
You can get this at shop4paintball.com
I know that not many people talk about this gun, but I have one and it is great. Just check the reviews on the rebel Le in the review section.
buy like a compact and vtl take it to the feild a couple of times and if you really feel like commiting to the sport, trick the hell out of them. It would far surpass any stock gun and you would have your own custom design. Just look at tl and how content he is. plus it wil be cheaper at first.
OR A GT 2000! THESE GUNS RULE

Either a GT 2000, or a STS. The GT is very easy to upgrade, and it doesn't cost ****. The STS on the other hand comes upgraded and you can play with the best of them while it's all stock.
any of the Pirahana series, any of the Spyder series, any of the Rebels. Spyders are cheap ($$) and easily upgradeable. Pirahanas are cool to. Rebels, iffy on that one. Good Luck
