the other weekend i was out with my friends, and one of my friends tippys kept decocking itself. he was using a 20oz tanka and it was full. it was really cold out so i was thinking that maybe some liquid co2 got into the gun and froze it up? anyone else think this or is it something else maybe

Sounds like a problem with the sear not holding the bolt. I would check that first for any wear. Also, has he done any mods to the sear or the pin the the sear rests on? if so, that could prevent the sear from fully resetting like it should be. Liquid co2 getting into the gun wouldn't cause the problem your friend has.

Was the hammer coming all the way back or just kinda going F/A and hitting the valve like it was out of air?

If so, I would say either the pressure was too low or that you need to check the seals, air might be escaping so that there is not enough pressure to recock the gun.

make sure that the screws holding in the valve are all the way in, if not it can cause this problem
