Sorry to burst your buble but there is not sniping in paintball. It just does not exist. That kind of range is not possible in paintball. And if you plan on sneeking around all game you will just be a joke because you will see no action the whole game.

cant u kinda snipe w/ a flatline cocker? I mean it definatly has more range than other guns. But from distance will your paint break? Just thought id throw those out there

OK not called snipeing its called CAMPING.
It will only get you shot or beatup after a game....lol

I think you have to separate the Sniping you hear about in the elite armed forces from what sniping is in Rec Ball. And all it is, really, is lying in wait for someone to stumble into your aim.

You can also be a roamer, someone who roams the field supporting where necessary. I do that a lot in Woods games, where I follow behind a squad of four or five people and lay low, listen to where the firing is coming from and then try to flank behind that position to take out the opposing players.

But as far as true distance sniping, yeah, a flatline will give you some added distance, but you sacrifice accuracy.

besides sniping, the spyder tl+ is a good gun and it will do just fine as your first gun. It is a good gun with extras like an expansion chamber, etc...you could also get a m98 or pro carbine and upgrade those for the same money for about the same quality. That's just my opinion, do what you think is right.

PaintKiller

I was reading over your sig. paintkiller and was wondering if u were interested in getting and electric trigger frame. I have 1 an I just was wondering if u would like to knows some pros/cons.

PaintKiller
02-14-2001, 05:07 PM
Yes.
Can you tall me the pros/& cons
You mean the elcd

blinkpk11
02-14-2001, 08:00 PM
yah man i have the elcd. It was workin great in my shutter. Great features as far as full auto, burst, bps, ect. 2 major cons though. First it only comes with a car charger, so u may want to run to radio shack and grab an adaptor to a wall outlet. The other thing is the mounting screws.I kept the little silver things on the bottoms of the screws on when I switched frames. Big mistake. I got f**kin screwed over by this one dude and dropped my gun. Ohh No. My frame came off of my gun because the screws were too short. I went to my local store afterwards and the owner replaced them no problem but to avoid this problem, REMOVE THE LITTLE SILVER THINGS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREWS. It will save u a hassel and a trip to the store. Thanks for takin spyder elcd 101.

I E-mailed some guy asking if it is easy 2 install it 2 a shutter and he said the screws are too long.
is that true he said i will eiather have to buy new screws or grind them down.?????????

PaintKiller
02-14-2001, 10:40 PM
oh you mean thous little washers when you screw it off you want me to leave them off????

blinkpk11
02-15-2001, 04:44 PM
yes! leave those little washers off because it makes the screws too short. i think theyre supposed to lock the screws down but its just better to leave them off. Have fun with your elcd. The modes are awsome. I would suggest that before u go u grease up your bolt nice and good because after a long time at high rof it has a tendance to stick a bit makin the bolt not recock and makin that brrrrrppppp sound.

yo im 14 too! I got my elcd for 250. Try not to order online, unless youve ordered there before. My friend ordered his elcd online and the trigger guard was broken. He had to send it back and he had to wait a month to get it.

I also got a job at a local paintball store cauz me and my friends won a tourny! I just work on sundays, nice pay and discounts though.

I order online all the time. NO PROBLEMS. Of course, i dont buy paint online anymore cuz it gets mauled.lol(that was a problem once). But you can find elcd grips for super cheap and if you can save 50 dollars, its worth it.

PaintKiller
02-17-2001, 10:55 PM
Ummm what was that web site they sold the elcd for about $233 yes that was the price. pretty cheap but what about shipping i tried to do a fake order but i couldent find the shipping price.

Spyders are cheap up front but by the time you have them up to speed you should have bought a cocker. Trust me I own a spyder. My cousin has a sweet T98 and all he's upgraded is to a Lapco Bigshot Barrel. Its all money management!

PaintKiller

I paid $300 for my spyder with packege and shipping was $80
Now i want to buy the elcd if you add that its allmost $600
I would of been able to buy a electro gun.

None of them take the liquid and form it back to gas, they just lenghten the path gas goes through which makes the liquid convert itself back to gas. Remote does the same thing.

If this is your first game, I say start with a Stingray. And there is sniping. After getting your ray, get an eagleworks custom barrel. Then, if you're still not satisfied, a venturi bolt. STING has all the stuff you' ll need.

Not to be mean but do u know any thing about markers.
I know 5 people that have a stingray and 3 people that had it it shot only 10 feet.
The 2 people the marker broke.
And its a pretty bad gun its old and stinkey.

Freakazoid
02-21-2001, 01:20 PM
Actually, most of my friends started out with a stingray 2, and they havn't had much problems with it. You gotta clean it and maintain it if you want it to perform the best it can. I'm not saying it's a spyder or piranha, but for a newbie it's an ok gun.

PaintKiller
02-21-2001, 02:10 PM
True.
I diddent know he was a newbie.?????????

amargio1
02-21-2001, 03:08 PM
really any gun will do 4 the newbe, but 1st entry should be something like a millinium ....it is ready to go w/ all upgrades done out of box...good price and a bob long marker!

I may be missing some thing here as I am a newbie but Ill go ahead anyway. I know everyone says if your going to upgrade your Shutter you should have bought an autocoker. OK well maybe, maybe not.Ill do some math here. I bought my Spyder Shutter for $209. Dont include mask, tank, hopper I would have to buy for a cocker anyway. At same time(christmas 2000) Autocokers I saw on same web site I bought my Shutter(paintballdiscounters.com) were like $340+. Difference of say $140 between Autocoker and my Shutter.I think for that much I can make my shutter low pressure and have a heck of a gun.Besides I didnt have no $340+ to buy my first gun anyway. It was all I could do to buy my Shutter.

I have a freind that has an autocoker I have shot. It is fast, quiet, and acurate and is a better gun than my Shutter, just not $140+ more than my gun I dont think. My guns shoots about as accurate as his its just louder. And when I set mine up low pressure I think it will be as accurate and quiet as his. Plus Its simpler to clean/repair. Certainly cheeper to maintain asI can do any work I need to on my gun.I looked at his and most people say you dont even go into an autococker unless your an airsmith.

So I dont see buying no autocker at least not for your first gun.I think when I have more money and expeirince I might consider it but I cant see buying someting I cant repair or clean.Just my opinion.

Hey man sniping? there is no such thing in paintball only dorks sit there and stay away from the action i think that would be so boring plus you are not likely to find a gun accurate enough to snipe with so u can still use the tl but don't snipe wit it that's not kool ok
