Hmm...I know that black and 2 toned paint can give the vision problems, but, I never heard about having a clear hopper gives you probs. Has anyone heard about that? Can anyone disprove that statement? I hope so, seeing as how i have a clear ricochet and, if i get the egg2, the only choice is to get clear. obviously.

What I've been told is that sunlight getting into the eye on a clear revy causes it to malfunction.
I don't know if this hold true to your case, however what I did was to spray paint the bottom half of my 12v revys black and leave the top halves clear. I can still see how many balls I have and the eye has never failed me . ;)

The Xboards don't have that problem.

Yeah, I thought of putting electrical tape around it.

NOOO!!:pissed: No tape!:pissed: IT REALLY MESSED UP MY 12V! (relaxes  ) oh well the truth is that the left half of my loader had to be replaced because it was damaged by the tape (weird?). The tape took off the paint and got all that sticky... rubbing it with alcohol just made the color fade.....

I have used my Clear EVO II outside several times and never had a problem with it or the Vision system.
