I JUST GOT A TIPPMAN A-5 SHOT IT FOR THE FIRST TIME AND COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW UNACURATE THIS GUN IS. I HAVE ONLY HAD ONE PAINTBALL GUN IN MY LIFE, AND IT WAS A SPIDER SHUTTER STOCK. BUT IT WAS SO MUCH MORE ACURATE THAN THIS ONE. THE ONLY THING I KNOW TO DO IS GET A NEW BARREL. AND PREY THIS MAKES A DIFFERENCE. I HAVE A GAME IN 2 DAYS AND THE ONLY ONE AVAILIBLE TO PICK UP IS A SMARTSPARTS 14 IN. DONT KNOW WHAT KIND BUT WAS TOLD OVER PHONE 65$ . CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THIS WILL BRING MY SHOT GROUP BACK. THANKS.:( :(

Any Smart Parts barrel that fits your marker should work better than the stock barrel. I would get a Flatline for it someday.

I would get a flat line but I have heard to many people say they shoot wild a first 30ft. and real slow after that the ball you can almost dog. and lots of problems getting them on right.

First of lay of the caps body.

Second of all that would be a fine barrel.

And lastley i PERSONALLY think that the flatline is a big waste of money.

The Teardrop is a good barrel, but 65 bucks is pricey for it. Did you sell your spyder? If not, then use that if it shoots better.

So far I have only been hearing good about the A-5 Flatline. It's shorter than the M98 version, much easier to put on properly, and very accurate. And, of course, there is the distance thing. The M98 version is good, it was just difficult to get lined up properly and so got a bad rap by some.

First find out what smart parts barrel it is because they do make a few. Unfortunatly for you they dont make a whole bunch of barrels in A5 threads, you may want to check out a cp 1piece thats the only good barrel for about 40 dollars that may come in A5 threads.

Oh i was not aware of this. My freind has a flatline on his old tippman. And when he did use it, it was allways a hassel. Hard to clean and he could never line it up properly.

I saw an A-5 with the flatline at my local pro shop. According to the shop owner it is way easier to line up then the M98 flatline. I think it bolts on even. It is very short and not bulky at all and IMO make the A-5 look much better. It is still fugly though:laugh:
