i emailed SP last week, and i asked them what is their "standard" bore size like it says on the website. i did this because i used to have a CP .689 bore size one piece barrel and it worked REAL well wit worr paint and draxxus blaze, but then it got stolen so i bought the teardrop because ive been hearding alot of good things about this barrel, so i buy it and i use worr paint with the teardrop and i test it by putting the pball in and it just fell right through! and with the blaze, you could sometimes find a bad ball and it would almost rattle in the barrel when you shook it. now im mad cuz i dont know which kind of paint to get. O YEA, i forgot to mention the guy at SP said the bore size is .693. what is good paint for a .693 barrel? thanks!

No way the teardrop is .693 thats rediculous i've seen pmi premiums get stuck in those. The dye xcel is .690 and i know for a fact that it has a larger bore size than the teardrop. Did you happen to know that the people at smart parts are generally idiots?

all star work well with the teardrop. You should've gotten yourself an other CP.

I"ve got a teardrop on my 98custom. Draxxus was really inaccurate, but Diablo Dusk has worked really well so far, and I haven't chopped anything.

Draxxus is a brand of paint not a particular kind of paint.

I wouldn't go as far to say the teardrop is awesome, its a pretty good barrel, but there're better for the same price.

When he said draxxus I think he means blaze cause when I buy a case of blaze at the field the bags all say Draxxus. There is nothing saying blaze on the bag.

Flame dye? Go for it, just wait till they start making low quality crap like smart parts.

the teardrop isnt that big of a bore size. i had one with my first 98 and I shot big balls, gap, and diablo dusk paint through it, never had any problems whatsoever. the bore isn't .693 though, i think its about .689 maybe .690 at the most. (at least thats what it says in paint/barrel match chart). i think it will work fine with any paint.
