impulse.
best reg (max-flo), new ones come with a 14" all american barrel now (from what i have heard), trigger can easily be upgraded with a blade or werm stick trigger for $30
best deal out there.

Stock cocker loses out, but if you put a boomy or freak in it, it would beat the mag. You get a good trigger job, and a high quality reg. it should beat an impulse. Just my opinion. Of course, not many people play with a completely stock cocker.

Get an impy, much better stock than a cocker or mag. It runs at a super low pressure (150-170 psi) has a good stock barrel (progressive or AA), has a great reg and a good rof (12 bps). It isn't that much more either.

Impulse, GREAT reg, good barrel, CAN be run on co2 if something come up where you cant get your nitro filled(so can the cocker though) and its easy to do a nice trigger job. All this for 400 bucks

Yeah, WHY the mag? For one thing, mags stock shouldnt even be an option. Mags dont even come with barrels. You just get the basic gun body. Air Gun Designs did it like that because they realized that no one was using the barrels to begin with, they were just being upgraded right away. Im not ripping on mags but you cant get them totally stock except for the minimag, but they arent being produced anymore and the stock barrel on them sucked anyway. I have never tried an Impy but I know a couple people that have and my local shop got a whole order in for them once. The people I know that had them HATED THEM. They all said that they were a huge gas hog and that they had really sloppy trigger pulls. My local shop ordered about 4 of them and everyone that bought them returned them with problems and they had to be returned to the factory. I would have to say that for the money stock cockers would own both of mags and impys in my opinion. ONCE AGAIN this is my opinion. I shoot a cocker, but I would play with a mag or impy if given the chance so Im not knocking either gun. I just believe that the cocker is better.
