OK! I NEED YOUR OPINION... COCKER OR AN IMPY... WHICH IS BETTER ALL ARROUND... ALSO... WHICH WOULD YOU RATHER BUY... A STOCK COCKER, OR A STOCK IMPY.

No way... cockers are the KING!!!

You're talking about apples and oranges.

Impys are electro, cockers are not.
Impys are open bolt, cockers are closed.

I suppose you could compare all around use, but then you have to consider gas efficiency, upgrades, etc etc...

and well... while the cocker has WAY more upgrades, and is more gas efficient, the impulse is... uhh...

hmmm... well its... I know theres something better... there has to be... maybe the fire rate is faster... maybe not.. I dunno...

But liek I said, you can't compare the two because they are just not in the same realm as eachother.

impy works at a way lower pressure.

However, a stock impy is much better than a stock 2k1 cocker, you just can't argue around it. However, a tricked-out after market cocker kicks the sh*t out of an impulse, even if it is upgraded.

impulse. less upgrades = less money for you to waste

the impulse comes with the best reg on the market (max-flo) i hear the new ones come with an all american barrel now. for $100 you can get different firing modes. and it comes with a vert feed (you can buy the twist-loc adapter for it too).

the impulse comes with a lot more stock upgrades than the cocker, thus is a better stock gun than the cocker.

I would go with a cocker but thats just me. IT may mean more upgrades but it also means not batteries.

On another note I have heard a couple of bad things about the impulse. It is still a relatively new gun and while built on a sound idea it does not have all its bugs worked out yet. The All Americans that use the Impulse take 4 to tournaments because they have had so many problems. Given 4 may be a bit extreme but it still has it downsides.

The autococker has been around for 10 years and is still some of the pros choice for guns. It is dependable and has been proven over time.

Its really all your opinion, just shoot both and ou get what you like the best.

also, just to clerify, IMPULSES ARE SEMI ONLY! unless you get a SF board. Just to clerify

I totally fergot about the max-flow, yeah, its IS the best out there. And the low pressure of course...

I was going to get an impulse acctually, but then I decided to get an intimidator instead.

But yeah, I have seen an impy with a genesis (basically the same as the shocker glacier) board. It was pretty sweet, I must say.

Efficiency can be good or bad depending on the dwell setting. My Imp is not a gas hog.

I don't think either gun is better than the other, because you're talking about a high-end semi and an electro. I prefer electros, but if you prefer cockers, the cocker is better for you.

I voted Imp, because I like it better, but I don't think either gun is better all-around.

I like the feel of the cocker's trigger
I also like to shoot slowly and hit the guy
rather than spray and pray
but the cocker's stock barrel sucks ALOT

actually neither of those guns are the basic version. The cocker is sto and the impy has the non standard vert reg setup. :)

Jake

orryn
07-15-2001, 02:37 PM
I think freak factor, I just saw a 32° one and it doesn't look like that

JesterDude15
07-15-2001, 06:16 PM
That is not Freak Factory....

fear my impulse
07-15-2001, 07:50 PM
well, it does kinda have the ff milling, and the rubber thingy that goes across the dwell and switch. to be, or not to be? haha..wait, no freak barrel, vision=no freak factory!

i must say this your gona have to get a new trigg on the impy. i think the triggpull is long and ver slopy side to side for a electro but thats just my thinking.

you know what? so do i! just shut up if they are gas hogs or not! i mean, so what? i have a big tank and it can last me a month man! so think about it, just because it's a gas hog means the cocker is better? no. in some aspects, yes. mostly, no. you get alot of good things stock with the impy. max-flow. all american barrel. think about it before you post.

JesterDude15
07-16-2001, 12:24 PM
Think about it
Max Flow has a better Reg, faster pull, and a better barrel, and runs on a lower pressure, I mean...come on.

07-16-2001, 12:25 PM

JesterDude15

I had an AA for a shocker, but i sold it. just saying. Cockers are better. Yes, you do have to learn about them, BUT it isnt as much a SOOOO many think. also, cockers will last for ever, they dont require batteries, the DONT HAVE A F***ing celnoid) They will work under water! (hehe, underwater pball...) or i should say, i live in washington, so i can actually play with a cocker, and it wont fry its board (cause it dont have one) also a cockers is 100% customizeable, from new Pneumatics to a new beavertail. plus cockers DONT (verry seldom)break down. Jesterdude15, you release a bit of propaganda, so this is just to get even

He's right... Get a new trigger on the impulse. My shot rates are insane! The trigger pull is as thin as a cd if you get the blade or werm.

What gas thru grip is that? How much did it cost?

Knux68
07-20-2001, 11:57 AM
I think its Kapp... It was only 30 from e-paintballoutlet.com just click on "Add foregrip+$30" when you order one.

I saw you pics jester and i have to admit, your and mine look the same, they even come out the same purpleish red color when pics are taken. My number is 7100.

-Knux has shot his barrel plug 3 times.... Thank god for barrel plugs. Stupid extra sensative trigger

knux, did they install the trigger for you when you ordered it?

Knux68
07-23-2001, 12:27 PM
Yah, for free. :D

And they put on the gas through grip for 30 dollars, with no install fee. Thats pretty good.
