Waht are the bad things about your gun

What are the things you would change about the gun you use the most and why? no pro's just the cons please..Thanks ;)

I find nothing wrong with my gun, I'm pretty much done upgrading it, but if I were to have a lot more things to upgrade, the one thing that would bother me is that some parts may not be a "drop in" part because its a Model 98, not a Custom 98, so the possibility of milling I would have to do would suck...But like I said I'm done with my gun besides for a few things, and I have never come across that problem in the past...

the length of the gun bothers me, even with a drop, once you put a tank and a barrel on it, its quite long, also the consistency, i havent used it much lately, but i was never getting +/- 3 like i am on my cocker, also the accuracy, which can be traced back to consistency again ( a better paint bore fit will help this greatly) i dont know why, but i seem to be way less accurate with my 98 than with my cocker, it could just be me tho, and lastly the rof is a little slow for my tastes

yeah, notice the reg i have on my cocker, as for the rt i dont like them because they are illegal alot of places, including the field i play at most of the time, and most if not all tournies like i said there good guns, i prefer my cocker and it performs better than my 98

lenght, and consistency but a tippmann is built like a tank. plus the huge ablity to customise is awesome.

my 98c is good for what i bought it for. but i have noticed a few things with it. i do not like the built in elbow, eww it broke on me after a whille and i have never been able to make it flop down again. but on the sl-682 i have liked everything about it.

The problem with the 98C besides it being too ugly for "some people" is it being to good for its self in being the best semi-automatic paintball marker in the world! So others will try to say otherwise.:)

I have had a bad problem with the Bolts on these guns they strip consistantly but you can get a new set off of paintball gear.com for a reasonable price so that makes it well worth it :blah:

well sorry... i guess it was an opinion to say that they r ugly, but lets face it, u can make any gun look cool inclueding the tippman, but no matter what u do (it is my opinion) that u can't look cool holding that gun... im sorry if i offended anyone

ya, thats the top thing on my mind when i play, ok, does my gun look cool, so i will look cool, ok, just as long as my gun isn't ugly and makes me look cool i'm good to play... :eyes: :rolleyes:

as for my tippmann, the only thing wrong with it, is that its no longer mine.

have to upgraded to use, new barrel at least. No place to attach a sling, some many easy to lose bolts, a pain to put back together! The a-5 however seems to be perfect, they took all the bad out of the 98c and kept and improved the good!

Can the hopper elbow swing down for easy barrel cleaning like the 98C?

Hecman the a-5 doesnt have an elbow.. it has a built in cyclone feeding system...

He asked about the 98C. Yes, Hecman, the elbow can be brought down. Though IMO, it doesn't help with cleaning.

It's cool :D Just sayin, I think cosmetics shouldn't be that bad, oh well. And either way, I couldn't look cool holding an Angel. :)

If you are talking about the A-5 no.

As for the original topic, I love my Tippy, no complaints. It's well balanced, shoots fast and is consistant.

The only thing I don't like about my flatline is the speed of the ball over a good distance. Don't get me wrong, I still love the accuracy and the distance. There are more pros than cons.
