which gun, the Spyder TL+ or the Piranah STS G2, is better there both baisicly the samme price (at http://www.shop4paintball.com ) 10 bucks diff. ive heard that the STS is TL+ killer is that true??

This argument/debate is getting older than dirt. "TL Killer" depends on whose hands it's in. I've got an STS G2 and Saturday some kid with a Tippman 98 lit me so bad I wanted to run home to momma. I guess that makes him and his marker a "STS Killer."

Then again, I gogged some guy with a Cocker, does that make my marker a "Cocker Killer."

Just buy what you like. Try shooting both guns at a field before buying one and then go with what feels better to you.

piranha are better guns right out of the box than spyders. YOu can make a spyder better than a piranha but if you want something that you won't have to upgrade too much get a piranha. then when you do want to upgrade it all spyder parts fit a piranha

MuckRaker is right both Spyders and Piranhas are good guns, same basic designs with a few variations, many parts fit both. I got a Spyder Shutter for myself and Piranha STS G2 for my son for christmas so I have both. I thought I would compare the two as we shot them. I would say they are both great guns. I like my sons Piranha , its deffinitely accurate, dependable, and bullet proof. Easy as can be to clean and take apart.His was little cheaper than mine also so Id say buy the Piranha, you wont regret it.

And most people on the Piranha web site I visit say the Piranahs a "Spyder Killer". But like MuckRaker said the gun is not as important as the player. A great gun doesnt make a great player. But a great player can win even with a so-so gun.

I own a Pirahna sts g2 it is the best gun but the stock barrel is a little bad but that can be changed I think this is possibly the best gun for a beginer!

You can trick a Spyder or Pirahna out to about the same level. Most of the upgrades are interchangable...except the bolt. I can't think of any upgrade that you can give to a spyder that you cannot do to a Pirahna.(I've owned both..pirahna STS and Spyder Compact) Handle both guns(if you can) and see which one you like more. The thing I liked about my STS was the sear release feature and it felt better in my hand. You might like the Spyder more. Like Muck said...try them both.

I've shot both guns. I own an STS G2 and the gun is really accurate. Some people think the stock barrell isn't accurate. I beg to differ. It's very, very accurate. I put a Hot Shot red dot sight on mine, and that has improved my shooting ability a lot. The paint goes where I put the red dot. I can get a really close clustering at 60 feet. I talked with a paintball store owner, and asked him his opinion about upgrading the barrell. He said that PMI already puts a great barrell on it stock. You won't regret owning an Pirahna.

there basicly the same type of guns, I feel spyders are better but thats just an opinion also i think spyders are more upgradable

No the spyder compact 2000 is the best begginer gun, no doubt about it

i like the piranha because it is accurate,field strip is an easy pull out,and it is easy to clean and oil.

It all depends on your likes i got a piranha g2 sts the main reason i got it was,besides I like how it shot,but if you loose a screw you go too locale hardware store and get it. Metric screws on the other. But I hit alot of diffrent players with diffrent guys and i been hit by alot of diffrent guns. My Mags are my choice but my piranha is always in my gun box no matter where or when i play. If I loan it or use it all depends. but i still take it out and use it in at least one game each time. So try the guns out and pick the one you like. Not the one I do. You'll be more happy with yourself if you make the choice. If my spelling sucks its cause i too tired too fix it.
