well im not big on high end electro guns and do no at all how they work but i no most of them have hammers, i no teh impulse does, but once again i have limited knowledge on electropnuematic guns soooo heres my idea, why no just have a solenoig hit open a valve pin, then there would be a spring on teh other side of the valve with a cup seal and onc ethe vale was open the spring would push the solenoid back and close the valve, or am i just saying how a normal electro works, because it doesnt seem like an impulse works like that http://www.kamworld.net/paintball/animationimpulse.gif anyways i drew a pic in photoshop

the only thing i dont no how to do is recock it:|

Because it would not work, you have to recock it, els you could have a electro pump on your hands :)

Actually,

That design works perfectly. You have just drawn the general design of the 2k2 Shocker from Smart Parts. Congratulations upon re-discovering one of the most ingenious and flawlessly performing designs in paintball. :)

Umm the shaft of the solinoid would be the hammer, a much lighter one than a normal one albeit but a hammer nonetheless. Anyways isn't the matrix a hammerless gun, and the automag? THey just have a bolt.

The automag's hammer is the bolt assembly.

The Matrix has no hammer, you are correct. It is a spool valve.

Its the type of "bolt" that the matrix uses.

Actually mags dont have a hammer at all...and nothing on it acts like a hammer...when you pull the trigger it just releases the bolt with all the air pressure behind it...

Perhaps I was wrong. I no longer work on mags because I no longer see a need to.

By the way, what is the TS number on your Shocker, Impulse or Maxflo cert?

The Registered Tech Service number. Black number in the upper right hand corner.

Actually I'd love a pic of your certification forms.
