i'd say you need to try to find jobs cause most of the time you wont get sponsorships till you prove yourselfs and that means paying for your first few tournaments

ya jobs are important. playing together alot and getting know each others style is very important. whenever you go to your local field try to play you 3 vs. 4 or 5 guys and see how you do. this will help you communicate and keep tucked tight.

Most people that play paintball have jobs.

Look for 3-man tournaments in your area. Practice on speedball fields, specially hyperball and airball. Have fun. Comunicate with each other. And have fun. ;)

$$$ and communication on and off the field.
Get jobs. Practice. Play against ppl BETTER than you. Keep your gear working. Learn to fix your gear.
Some ideas.

you've played 30 times on a field? lesse.. this month alone ive played about 20.. how often do you play? if its a tourney team, you're gonna be playing more often then you did if you've only played 30 times..

he was saying that he played 30 times on a regulation field there buddy. how do you find time to play 15 times a month?or do you play in your backyard.why do you play everyday?you must play outlaw ball because regulation fields are usually only open on the weekends.

I just recently started a three man team. After you get jobs or any other sort of income, practice, then practice some more, practice a little more after that and then go find a tourny to play in, there should be one near you very soon and you can get info on this sort of thing at any local pro shop or regulation field, just ask, the only stupid question is the one you don't ask, then after you have found the tournament of your choice, go practice some more working on things like:
1. (great for three man) breaking out, shoot lots of paint at the other team on the break out. This is important, they will probably do the same to you.(for great three man action go to warpig and watch ultimate madness on pigtv, follow the simple instructions, it's easy) here you will see what I mean about the break.
2. Sweet spot. Very important, learn to judge the field, you see where certain bunkers are more accessable than others from either end of the field as you walk the field, a very important practice(walk the field) see where you would go from either end and put paint on any player who may try to get to that bunker. Shoot in front of them so they run through the bead of paintballs you lay down in their path.
3. Playing tight and tucking in all exposed parts of the body and work on the snap shoot. Try to shoot the angels, the guy at your twelve has no real good shot at you if you practice playing tight, shoot across the field at the opposite tape, however, whatever formation you choose is really up to you and your team. One tape runner or all back or two front one back, blah blah, pic whatevers comfy and got to it.
4. shooting while running is relativly important(no so much in three man, but good to have as a skill)
5.Probably the most important-communicate with each other, always let each other know what is happening as it happens. Ask your teammates what the hell is going on if you can't see, and listen for them should they ask you what is happening, even if you can't see anything, say, "I can't see anything" to let them know. If you are pinned, tell a teammate and he will assist you in getting unpinned. Should an opponent try to bunker your teammate, yell as loud as you can to your teammate while shooting at the would be bunkerer, try to stay tight while doing so, the guy doing the bunkering really wants you to stick your upperhalf all the way out looking for that easy elim while his buddy in the back has your number.
6. Play a lot of paintball, as much as you can afford between now and the tourny. The most important part of being a team is competing as one, so don't forget the tourny. Find one, play in it, learn from it, practice where you think you are weak(whatever caused you to loose that first game) but don't point any fingures. You played as a team and you lost as a team. So practice for the next one and forget about blame. Just keep trying.
I've given you enough to get through that first tourny, like I said, play as many tournies as possible and you will find what works for your team, have faith, practice and pay attention to detail. Paintball is 100% physical and 100% mental. Technique, teamwork and tactics are all skills you should develope together as a team.
