Hey fellas
I am currently shooting the marker in my sig. It will have X valve by the end of the summer. What I am looking for however is a backup marker. I won't do much pimping to it other than a drop and aftermarket barrel. Of course I will just swap out the 12v(soon to be eggy II) to my backup.
What is everyones reccomendation?

Maybe a cheap electro spyder, like a E-99 or Espirit.

I'd have to say an E99, those are awesome backups imo.

your "back-up" seems more expensive than your main gun..

Yeah either another(classic powerfeeds $199 @ paintballgateway), or I would highly recomend the sentinel TS.
The sentinel TS is made by Action Markers. They just changed/are working on their website so just ignore that. But order one of their free cd's.
Their customer service is unbelivable. Just go over to the Action Markers forum @ PBnation
http://www.pbnation.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=247
The Sentinel TS has great stock features, wait forget that excellent stock features and is very compact and reliable from what I have heard. My next marker is going to be a ts.
If you decide to buy one check out getting one at pbgear or pm crash_stp on pbnation.
Their have been a few with blowback/chopping issues but action markers have been shipping out a new valve pin for free to all owners that request it.
The stock features as I said already are great. Some of the good ones are Metal Double Trigger blade style, nice balanced drop forward, vertical adapter, unique velocity adjustment, high flow delrin bolt, 3 second field strip(pull pin), sweet annodizing, excellent stock barrel, autococker barrel threads, angel feed tube threads, varigrip verticle feed(has 3 o-rings to hold hopper tight), etc.
Plus the Sentinel TS has a mechancal trigger is great for a backup. No need to worry about the battery being dead on your back-up.

haha... i love the anti-electro phrase.... wont have 2 worry about a dead battery... well duh, its not that hard 2 remember 2 bring 'em
however... the sentinel is a great gun
piranhas are great guns (ext pro's, pro ts's)
spyders in my opinion have gone down greatly in quality and i dont recomend them (i did not like the way the e99's shoot at all)
but all in all... the bko is an AMAZING gun... u may even use it as ur primary... yet work great as backup 2

hm.. personally i'd wait, A LOT of quality markers are comming out very soon. Some of these include the evil omen, m3 dragunfly (very affordable electronic autococker), and 03 shocker (although it is out of your price range i believe the 02 shocker prices are going to drop significantly because of the vast superiority of the 03 model and you can pick a 02 shocker up cheaply)... but if you want it now i'd say get a BKO...

And it is not hard at all to type "to" and use atleast semi-proper punctuation and spelling.
But, realy everyone is raving about the TS's trigger and how smooth and nice it is.
