I've got one of those JT spectra masks with the anti-fog lens and i can't get the paint stains off of it.

The stains didn't show up on the lens untill i started cleaning them with warm water. I think that the paint has gotten between the two panes of plastic because no matter how hard i scratch or rub, they won't go away. Anyone else had this problem?

well if you put the lense under neath the running water then the paint will drain inbetween the two lenses. I hope yo know that there are two lenses in thermal lenses and that would cause the paint to go in.

Yea that's why i said in my original post that I think that the paint got between the panes. Pane, as in "window pane".

Do you know how to get it out?

If the stain is on the lens itself, you were probably hit with paint that contains Iodine. Iodine is used in the fills of some tournament paints. It's included because it's impossible to wipe. I got hit with some hot pick paint that left a stain on my hand for about four days. I've got friends who were gogged with the same paint, and it permanently stained their lenses. I've heard of no way to get it out. We've talked with our local Refs, when it happens now they try to find the player, if they do, they can't use that paint for the remainder of the day.

haha, thatd suck if u brought a whole case of iodine containing paint and then had to end up buying another case from the field!

a suggestion for cleaning out inbetween the two lenses is to take a micro fiber cloth and stick it inbetween the two lenses and wipe it off.

The thing is, it's a rec field, and why should someone bring a permanently staining paint there. We're not sponsored by companies that can supply us with new equipment. I think Rec fields should be strict on things like that because it can make the experience less enjoyable.

These stains came from nel-splat field paint and are non-staining. I think that i've just got paint between the two layers of lenses. Im goanna work on it tonight. I'll tell yall how it goes.

Speaking of staining paint in rec-ball, i recently played a game in which this dude rushed a bunker and got his face painted green with 5 or 6 shots. The paint stained his face and it wouldn't come off for the remainder of the day. It looked as if he had been spilled Ninja Turtle Muntant Slime all over himself.

The field owner is a redneck and lets people get away with this kind of crap.

I've heard that green Marbs will stain like that, though it hasn't happened to me. I think you just have to be as big or bigger Redneck, push the issue a little.
