Before you say it I have read
skog' s site
wolverines site
mipaintball site
and a search on here

Is this FSDO? MY gun was recently upgraded, and the 2 times since I have taken it out to play the following happened. "The first shot" went half the distance as the rest. Not on was it short it appeared to be 2 balls or a mutilated ball. I know from reading everyones thread the shot may be shorter. Is this typical first shot drop off?

The facts

1.My gun has 5 cases of paint through it
2.Gun was new when purchased
3.Silonoid has never been cleaned
4.Set up before what appears to fsdo was
stock valve, ram, hammer, lpr, delrin bolt
5.Set up after what appears to be fsdo is
nd valve, nd slik shot, nd ss hammer, vision, lpr,
delrin bolt
6.Dwell is like 6 from bottom
maxflo 180psi
7.lpr about midway
8.battery has been used. Haven't checked it with a volt meter

The unknown?
1. Is this fsdo?
2. Why does the ball look this way? Is the ball going so slow it just looks different?
3. With my new improved internals shouldn't i get less fsdo?

Curious?

We have run into this problem a few times at the shop.

Sometimes when you are installing a new valve or doing general maintenance to your impy and pull your valve out and put it back in......it is possible to put a SLIGHT nick in the o'ring(s). if this happens you might be losing15-20 psi/minute (SLIGHT) that would cause the FSDO problem.
I just fixed a gun this week that had the problem. I would let it sit for about 5 minutes and the first shot was at like 240 ish.....next shot was 285-290.

I replace valve o'rings and BINGO....no more FSDO!
