Hey, what kind of drop-forwards do you guys use? Also, where did you get it?
I am looking for a decent one, but am having problems finding a site with a decent selection.
Any help is as always, appreciated.

i have my gun set up as black and silver. the grip is silver, the asa/reg is black, and the df is black..i like it like that..silver would look nice too go with the silver if you have a black frame and go with black if you have a silver frame....it looks especially good if you have black grips on the silver frame :D:D

I use a black Kapp Drop Zone II w/a Benchmark on/off valve. I have two other Benchmark Drop forwards for other guns, and ended up with an extra round style on/off valve. Being the cheap ******* that I am. Rather then buy the Kapp on/off valve that fits the Drop Zone, I sanded down small portions of the on/off valve so that the Drop Zone fits snuggly around it. Works great and looks the same as the Kapp one.

Go to http://www.paintballpx.com They have the sretch z drop forward, for only 20 nucks. I can get a 20 ounce tank to stick out onbly bout 2 inches on my gun. Only probelm i had wasi had to sand down my wgp bootmeline adapter a little to make it fit correctly.

Stretch dropforwards are very nice. I have one on my cocker. You do need some kind of spacer if your going to run a bottomline on it, though. Lapco makes one for about $5, so no big deal. I would say its the best for the price. On my matrix I use a smart parts dropforward. Its alright, does the job. I like the stretch better, but my inline reg is so long it wont fit.

I got a Proline Lazy dropforward from http://www.bbtpaintball.com.
They've got a pretty good selection. When you get to the Web site, click on Universal Accessories.

Some one please tell me why do you all new dropfowards for.
What about the 1 you have???????

the stock drop foward on you shutter has two hole side by side and the other drops have them in a straight line...and you use the drop to move your tank down and foward...and you need a bigger drop to clear guages on alot of N2 tanks.....and the on/ off adapter allows you to turn your tank on and off without haveing to unscrew it from the drop to turn it off.....that is if it's a screw in type ...Like the CO2...plus they look really COOL

I should have also said that you need the adapter to change the staggered hole pattern on the bottom of the grip to a straight line so standard drops will work...or your choices will be limmited as to which drops you can use because there isn't many that have that staggered pattern....

Can you show me a pic of the adaptor.

Thanks. And no, it doesnt have any springs other than the trigger spring.
And I would have to go for a Lapco dropforward for a spyder. They have the staggered hole pattern along with the standard AGD/WGP pattern. Plus they come with a built on bottomline. Cheap, too.

What are the advantages of having a dropforward on your marker other than balance and good looks? Wouldn't a remote be more practical? Or are the dropforwards primarily for room to accomodate nitro tanks?

I thought about a remote then decided I didn't want to be tethered to a tank. I'm sure it makes the marker MUCHO lighter. My concern, since I play more Woods type rec ball, is that the remote hose would snag on something and get yanked out of the marker or tank. Also, I was worried that if I was running full bore through the woods, and fell, I would pull the hose out. For me, the dropforward just seemed more practical.

No it will not disconnect it is like a phone cord it will streach but not 2 much.
And what a difference the marker is sooo light!!!!!!!
the only way if you can disconnect it easly it the part that connectes near the gun but it wont disconnect if you get caught on some thing.

Guess I should give up my hunt for a nice remote and go with a dropforward then. :) I play woodsball too and I guess I didn't think of getting snagged and falling... Thanks for bringing that to my attention Muck.

I use ether a KAPP DZ 2 or a Warped Sportz. I got them at the local shop. I like the Warped better than the KAPP. It gives me more adjustablility and kicks the tank out an extra 15 degrees. That way a 114 fits about the same as a 68. They aren't cheap but then quality rarely is!
