I am looking to buy a gun in the next month or less. I am looking for something $125 to $150 that is upgradeable. I was wondering what you guys suggest. I know that most guns come with a stock 8 to 10 inch barrel and I am also looking for a suggestion on what size, type, and brand of barrel that i should get. If you have any other suggestions on upgradeable peices that would also help.

If I were you, I would get a Spyder Compact, or a Piranha VTL. They are both base models, so you don't pay more for any worthless parts. Tell me what kind of paint you usually shoot (or are planning to shoot) and I'll help you pick a barrel.

Definitely go with a spyder. Besides cockers, they are easily the most upgradeable guns out there. Maybe a TL+ or an xtra. Just go to the product reviews and check out all of the spyders and pirahnas. Also note that the prices that the review pages have are a little higher than what you can actually get the guns for. Happy Hunting.

Piranhas are just as upgradeable as Spyders, and if yo do get a Spyder, don't get the TL Plus or the Xtra. You end up paying more for parts that you'll just replace anyway.

i agree, thats why you should get the compact

side cocking so you wont have to replace beaver tail, cocking rod etc.

I would also suggest a Spyder Compact with a bottom line kit, and for your barrel i would suggest a 12 inch J&J ceramic, only 40 bucks and very accurate and quiet.

My friend just got a Tippmann Custom 98, what do you guys think of that compared to the spider mentioned above.

98s are more durable, but they lack upgradablitity, and i thick pirhanas are the best low ends markers, better trigger pull, looks, and they are made in the USA unlike spyders. I started with a spyder, but now am very sick of it as it hardly fills the roll of a backup marker, and am planing on selling it for a pirhana.

Just a thought

I don't know how you can say that Piranhas are so much better than Spyders. They are virtually identical. How does your Spyder hardly fill the roll of a backup marker? If it's not working for you, you must be doing something wrong. What Spyder do you own, anyway?

plus if you get a tl or xtra if a certian bolt comes loose
the gun will go ape sh*t,it will fire when safty is on
and it dont stop intill u'r out of piant or co2 + the gun

You didn't just say Spyder's aren't upgradable did you? No you must not of.

Cause i started out w/ a Spyder Compact 2k and now its a custom spyder, w/ boblong body, dye frame, stickies, mod bolt, mod valve, home trigger job, new springs, bottom line set up, drop forward, twist feed tube..and more

No..there aren't any upgrades i guess

ARE YOU F*CKING STUPID!?

and i dunno what ur talking about w/ the bolt, but if it does, that is totally fixable..all guns have parts work themselves loose..its fixable and i dunno what ur talking about shooting when the safetys on..if it is yuo just need to go into the frame and fix the safety

You must be one of those people who doesn't take very good care of their marker if you had those problems with a Spyder. Besides the Autococker, a Spyder is probably the most upgradeable gun out there.

Ok, its a compact 2000, and i did every thing right, it was a manufacturing flaw, that kingma wouldn't replace

Every company has a factory defect now and then. You can't judge an entire manufacturer on one gun.
