Hey All,
Just started playing a few weeks and picked up a new GT-2000 from National PB. Ugly SOB, and I think I broke half of the Brass Eagle balls I tried to shoot. Accuracy was off too. Anywho, my wife let me have $140 to upgrade it with and I'm looking for some advice. First off, I need to buy a case of paint, then I want a new barrell(I'm thinking 14" or 16". I was also looking at expansion chambers when I realized that I don't even know what they do.

Anyway, anyone have a suggestions for me?
Thanks

Ok, here are some upgrades for your GT-2000 (I also have this gun). Get the ACI 6 stage expansion chamber if u are looking at this upgrade. Expansion chambers allow the liquid co2 in your tank to expand into a gas before it enters your gun. They ensure long lasting interal o-rings and seals. Say good-bye to drop offs in cold weather, velocity spikes in hot weather, while at the same time improving your paintball gun's efficiency. Or you could get a regulator (which regulates the amount of air coming into your gun) for around $70. I have a 12" Lapco Bigshot barrel, which is really sweet. If you want a 14" or 16", go with the J&J ceramic or 32 Degrees carbon fiber. There are a couple other great upgrades. U can get the Proline II Cyclone bolt w/ beavertail from http://www.nationalpb.com. Also, there is the pressure balance valve at the same site. Both will cost you $35. Good luck!

Thanks for the input, the Lapco is actually what I was looking at, but now I'm beginning to have doubts about upgrading this gun. i'm now thinking about buying another(either a Spyder SE, TL Plus, or F4) and just using the GT as backup/loaner. I mean, it is kind of an ugly, heavy thing. But the vertical feed is pretty cool.

Believe me, i thought the exact same thing when i bought mine and looked at it stock. But after you add a decent x-chamber and barrel and maybe add a beavertail and macroline, it looks sweet as hell. I wouldnt trade mine for a spyder or f4 anyday. Go to http://www.gt-2000.com It has some really nice set-ups that will make u think twice about dropping this gun for a spyder and making it ur backup.
