Yes, oil your gun after every use. Field strip it and oil the bolt and striker. Put a few drops on each o-ring. Put a few drops down the feed tube to get to the bolt. And before you put your co2 in, place a few drops into the ASA (if you don't know what that is, it's the place to put your tank on) and then put your tank on, cock the gun, and shoot a fews times to cycle the oil through.

Also, if I don't use my gun for a while (especially if it is dry outside [winter time]), I like to use a paper towel and take off all of the oil, put a drop on the o-rings (so they don't degrade easily), then put it back together and store it. If you do this, it is imperative that you oil it before using it at all (even dry cocking). This prevents the oil from drying out in the gun and leaving a non-viscous residue.

Also, after every 3 or 4 oilings, you should take a damp towel and wipe off all of the old oil, then a dry towel and dry everything off. Then oil it all again. This also helps prevent residue left by old oil.

Also, if my gun has been in storage for more than a month, I clean it and oil it before using it regardless.

(I had to do all of this with my trumpet, but the valves still work great!)

It needs to be a thin gun oil. You can get this from a paintball store, and my Oshman's carries it too. The most common is blue with a blue cap and says something like 'specifically for paintball' on the front.

When you're putting oil in your bottomline, TAKE OFF YOUR BARREL. You don't want to get oil allover the inside of your barrel. Put bout 5 drops in the bottomline and dry fire your gun atleast 10 times.
