I have a black raised sight rail can I:

1. Polish it with scotchbrite until the black color comes off?

2. Would the silver theoretically match my silver fox?

3. Would polishing it compromize the integrity of the ano?

Will take some time to remove the ano and get it polished, but you could do it that way.
2. Would the silver theoretically match my silver fox?
This would depend on how much polishing you did. It could anywhere from a dull grey to a shinny, almost chrome color.
3. Would polishing it compromize the integrity of the ano?
It shouldn't compromize the metal at all.
