View Full Version : To Remote System, or Not To Remote System

Im small, pretty fast, and young. My play style reflects this. Ive heard people say that a remote system increases your manueverability, stops your gun from being back-heavy, and makes it easier for you to run etc. I was serisouly thinking about buying a remote system and I just wanted to know what everybody else thought about them before I invest $50 plus cash for a new harness. Thanks.

I never saw the reason to get a remote it gets in the way some times and if u play in the woods and roll around alot it can get cought on things. if u want to make ur gun more balanced just grab a drop forward.

I Think you should. I got a remote and i like it. It's easier to shoot around trees and run. I very much like it during speedball. Plus it keeps liquid out of your gun.

Its more a matter of preference. Some people like the tank on the gun because it keeps it weighed and can balance better. Others like the feel of a light gun and the lighter weight. If you can, try someone elses and see how you like it.
I do use a remote.

Or you can just buy many smaller co2 tanks and carry a couple in a pack around ur waist. That way it doesnt make the gun heavy or u dont have this huge tank to lug around.

i personally don't understand remotes. I think that the wire or coil would get in the way all the time, get a drop forward. i too am small and are good at manueverability.

True remote acts like a x-chamber, which is nice. But I disagree with your thought using a remote during speedball. Maybe as a back player. But that doesn't sound like his style of play. I have found the cord to be in the way when tring to crawl or swich shooting hands. It is for a very personal choice.

Dont go remote, it gets in the way. If u get a drop forward, ull only have maybe 3 inches of ur tweny ounce tanlk sticking out, which is perfect to put up against ur shoulder. Its great when ur up front, because u dont have to expose to much of urslef to shoot. lso, it evens out the weight on ur gun, so that makes life easoer.
If you are getting the remote for manuverablity...I don't think that you will be happy. If you are getting it to move wieght off of your gun..go for it. The remote kinda limits your ability to move. It makes it harder to change hands and such. I have a remote because I have a huge steel constant air tank. It didn't fit any drop forwards that I liked so I went remote. It does move wieght off of your gun, but it does take some getting used to. You'll get frustrated when the hose gets caught on this when your running. If you do get a remote...make sure that it has a slide check in the hose......boy I hope this isn't too rambling and you get my point.:)

Steel braided don't get hung up as much, and are harder to hit, but are not as flexable. Colied are better at being expansion chambers, but suck in the woods.

Good Idea. Steel braided
Coiled
High pressure coiled
In- line ACI Sub Zero coiled
These are the choices I've found. :)
