Has being shot in the unprotected head ever been declared hazardous to your brain?

Well, is it? Is being shot in your unprotected head from close range possibly damaging to brain cells / one's mental state? I mean, I'm sure paintball can't be GOOD for your internal organs/skull, but I never considered it a threat before, either.

A few weeks ago I was bunkered and shot in the head from less than 5 feet away, and not only was it the normal sharp pain, but there was a noticable dizziness afterwards (of course, I was smart and "recycled" back into the game, tried to bunker someone at the wrong bunker, and got shot in the head again :laugh: ). That got me kind of worried because I have never been dizzy after a game before (aside from dehydration), and now I'm starting to wonder whether or not I should wear some sort of hat, beanie, or gutted stuffed animal for the sake of brain function.

I got shot off the break once, by my own teammate:| , twice in the back and once in the head...from about 5 feet also...it almost knocked me out...but about the only thing you could get from it, is a concusion, that is if youre shot about 10 or so times in the same place from point blank range, so I wouldnt worry about it too bad ;)

Only harmful places with gear on is ur throat, kidneys, and if u get shot in the back of the head from close enough
so far the throat has been the worst for me, then kidneys and haven't been shot in the head yet, always wear a toque

Hehe, nice story Sudden Impact. The way I got blasted was charging to the very front line with my PGP. Their team (since recycling was permitted) had been driven to their spawn, so I ran as close as possible to get some kills. However, they figured out that rushing a PGP with two electros (one was a new Timmy. Mmmm.) could work... so... y'ow.

I got shot in the side of the head when i was reloading once... and even worse i had a bounce on the top of my head. Bounces hurt, but i feeeelz fine. :D Neck sucks most definitely and they say there's a slight risk of stroke by getting hit there. I wouldn't worry so much about the head as I would the neck.

Getting bunkered and being shot in the unprotected head is comparable to getting punched or bumping your head really hard. Have you ever been punched in the face (I used to fight alot) and been dizzy afterwards? Or have you hit your head very hard and been dizzy? All it is, is a sudden impact to the head, it causes a disprution to normal brain waves I guess. I would'nt say its a serious problem.

i wear a beanie, and my mask comes down and protects my neck, unless im looking straight up:eyes:

but the theighs, where theres alot of skin, that hurts:eek: i doubt it does anything, but it definatly hurts:eek:

Not to worry about your brain unless you actually fracture the skull then shoot at the fracture. Thick hard thing protecting your noodle. no worries. Adrian

one time my freind got hit in the temple b/c his mask sucks and he was on the ground for like the rest of the game and after he had a real bad headache.

I got shot 3 times in the same spot right above my forehead where my mask doesnt protect, from 10 feet away. It hurt like a mother. Then I jumped into the next game and got shot there again.

yeh i get shot in the top of the head alot...hurts when it doenst break but, its all good....yeh i got shot in the neck a couple diff times two of the three i had my trust under armor....THANK GOD FOR UNDER ARMOR!

Ive been shot in the kidneys before .. it hurt like hell and i got a welt the size of a baseball but i didnt do nothing to me really .. cause i took one for the team .. cause i am a team player

The worst shots I have ever taken were in the thigh...never been hit in the head yet but I wouldn't worry about it

worst shot or shotS Ive ever had were in the twig and giggle berries...what made it so bad was I was only wearing running shorts...I used to play in running shorts and a t shirt...well still do during the summer, just gotta have a lil more protection down there ;)
