Freezing Paintballs!

Last time we went paintballing my friend was shot by a frozen paintball in the hand. His hand was all bloody from the shot and we knew it was frozen cause he picked it up, hard as a rock. I think you could seriously hurt someone freezing them. A few shots to the mask and the lens would crack. I just want to see the percentage of idoits who do this. Also I would like to hear if anyone else has been shot by frozen paint.

one of my friends was playing; some guy was shooting w/ frozen paintball and turned his gun up, one ball shot right through his hopper, he wisely called himself out. anybody who plays with frozen paintballs is a major *** and doesn't deserve to play paintball. that would kill some1 if they got hit in the neck or head. Some People are such idiots.

Frozen paint balls would be fun for when I am shooting cans and ****e at the bottom of my hill but playing against animate objects is just inhumane (spelling).

Also, anyone ever tried meat balls or grapes??

I don't see why you would ever stick a piece of food in your gun..that's like gross..especially if it explodes in the gun :). You'll have frozen grape juice / meat.

LOL! when i was first introduced to paintballing it was at my friends house with his stingray and we were shooting grapes through the barrel.

I don't think you guys realize that you could kill someone with a frozen paintball if it hit them in the temple or head. Anyone caught doing that would be arrested and most likely get the crap beat outa them before the cops got there. Why is it people have no regard for safety or someones life? Another sad moment for the pathetic human race.

Especially during a Big Game event. When you have a line of 100 guys blasting away, how the heck are you supposed to know who had the frozen one. They should seriously check everyones hoppers before they enter the game but they dont.

Yea the fields i go to require field paint only but the kids bring it home and freeze it then come back the next day!

That is actually why my field doesnt allow ANY paint that isnt ours, unless we know the people, very, very well. When i got shot by a marbel that somone was using (yes they were smart enuff to shoot a ref... IDIOT) he had a rental, and had brought marbels from home, i stopped the game, called every player to the middle of the field and had him pour out his hopper. when he did, about 8-10 marbles cam out, and EVERYONE just looked at him. i asked "what should we do with this player?" of course, everyone wanted to do a fireing squad type thing, but that would be illegal for me to do. so i gave all of his paint away, and i took him down to our owner (the VERY, VERY mean one, if you dont know him:)) ohhhhh... did he get an a$s chewing. the poliece were called, and so were his parents (we have a rule that if you are found physically assulting someone, legal action will be taken aginst you.harsh, but it must be done) all i know from there is that the police talked to him and his family for about 2 hours, and i dont know any more. But i hate people who play dirty.

i haven't actually played with frozen paint, but i froze some for the hell of it, just to shoot G.I. Joes and stuff. it was the only way i found how to get BE paint out of my old sheridan XTS, with a 32* terminator barrel. the shell would crack off, but the paint inside would remain frozen, just like a rock and ricochet...it was koo, i've only done it once though.

DO NOT shoot frozen balls out of your gun, even messing around. As the balls thaw out they will expand slightly an release any moisture that was frozen into the internals of your gun. So basically you are pouring about a tablespoon of water into your gun every 20 shots or so. Thats not good.
The other issue is that it is illigal in most states to modify a weapon (or even paintball gun) to shoot a projectile that is not intended. For example, i could make a shotgun shell with shrapnels of glass in it. But that would be a class D Felony. If your frozen painball would hit someone in the gogs, and injure a player, you would get charged with weapons offenses, and all kinds of crap. Here in Missouri, you get an Assault in the 2nd Degree, which would land you 5-10 years in the state pen. Plus the weapons offense, and possibly armed criminal action, if the Prosecutor could prove that you made a weapon capable of lethal use. If you would jack your fps up to 500 or so, they could prove it.

I tryed freezing em and they didn't freeze, the paint was
just thicker and the shell was a bit harder, no real
freezing going on there.

that would suck, imagine how long it would take to check 500 hoppers at a big game, and what if some one had a frozen pod of paint? check the harness too? i cant beleive some1 would do that ON A PAINTBALL FIELD, how dumb can u get?
