Wondering about the adjusttable barrels. Good accuracy? good fps?

Not that great of honing, i wouldnt spend the money on them, go for something with better quality, like an ultralite, or around the same price range the J&J edge kit is a nice thing if you absolutly need a barrel kit.

Katana sucks. My friend got it for $124 at the local pro shop, but immediately regretted it. Kept breaking apart into pieces when he tried to take it off his 'Cocker. He set it aside and got a Whisper only a week later. Not sure about the quality of a Whisper barrel, but he likes it better than the Katana.

That shows you something is wrong with the product when something made by 32* has more quality in it :P

The Katana is a great barrel. I just used it in a woods game and I was gogging people between the slightest opening in branches. Of course I am a great player but it took only a shot instead of the usual two. I also have a whisper barrel which is a piece of junk. It shoots slightly better than my stock barrel. I also tried a ultralite and all american which is good also but the adjusting puts it on top. The only bad I see is if somebody likes to play with things too much might knock something off of the katana.

The Evil Pipe is a better barrel system for only $30 more. I don't trust the precision of a barrel that uses constant stress to maintain a particular bore size. And the visible, lengthwise gap in the Katana is particularly disturbing; I'm afraid it might make barrel breaks more common.

32 degrees and Psychoballistics (maker of the Aradus) are both owned by NPS.
A new version of the Aradus is on the way since NPS bought P-B.
My Aradus worked great.
The only real downside to it was a slight increase in gas use from having to raise velocity from a one-piece barrel, but it was never a big concern with a 20oz Co2 or 68/45 tank.
The gap of the katana may look like a problem but it isn't. Of all the barrels the whisper broke the most.

$160. The Katana is ~$130, I thought. Plus the Pipe has better tolerances and better durability, just because the Katana uses stress to achieve its bore sizes and not precision machining.
