Im going to polish my internals today, but i dohnt thinbkn my pressure has drop that much form what i have done. What should i do? Turn my velocity all the way up up and drop the reg pressure till i hit 300fps? Drill my asa adaptor even more? Will a spring kit help? Im also gping to tap a guage to my asa adaptro so i can tell where im shotting. Any suggestions are welcome. I want my gun to be shooting as low presure as i can get it. What i have is listed down below. Thansk in advance.

i kept my velocity in all the way, then dropped my pressure till around 270, and now i just keep it like that. It's the perfect chrono, and i all my field's chrono is at 275. don't drill the asa any more, because you might cause a leak..a spring kit will definitly help..i got a 32* spring set, and i use the black(weakest) springs for both my valve and my main.

. But wouldnt it make more sense to add a longer, strogner velocity spring in, so when u put that in, and turn up the velocity, ull need less pressure to reach 300fps? Also, what other springs will i get in that spring kit, and how much is it. And why does a looser main an valve spring lower pressure?

I use the same set up as TL well basicly....I have the 32* valve though...but use the same spring kit and springs(black=lightest) in both my striker and valve....but my valve came with a new valve pin for high flow to the striker...I run my shutter at about 250-275 and have my velocity adjuster about half way in...and it runs great right there....270-275 fps

Hey ptflyer how do i lower my psi to 250-275 like you're gun is it the knob near where i cock back????
Of the screw where the reg is????
Because i only used my gun in my back yard i am planing to go paintballing on the 12th.

ok...you start by putting your velocity adjuster....(the one under the bolt) about halfway in.....and you adjust the regualtor allen screw..(the one next to the guage) all the way down...clockwise/in)....now screw on your tank...now with your tank on.....turn the regulator screw out until you guage reads about 700...(if your gun is stock or what ever pressure you are looking for)...then check your velocity...if it close to where you want it...then fine tune it with the velocity adjuster......you can always turn UP the reg without taking the tank off and de-gassing.....but you must take the tank off and de gas before you try and turn it down...so you don't screw up the regulator......hope that explains it with out confusing you too much...but it's in your book.....

Now if you changed anything (valve or anything)you will have to adjust your pressure and velcity to get the thing running reliable....and at a good pressure...you'll have to do the trial and error method til you find where it likes to run...

Hey you got a book with you're Spyder Shutter.
All i got was a little piece of paper telling me what 2 do????
Or is that what you r talking about?????

ok...OK...NOT THE BOOK...the LITTLE PIECE OF PAPER.....LOL...

Yeah....it has it there..under ...REGLATOR OPERATION GUIDE...

you won't be able to shhot as low as 250 psi with changing thing on your marker...valve....bolt...or modify your stock one) along with a few others..to get it down that low...

so set it at about 700psi...it should run between 600 and 800 psi with out a problem....

Yeah but what thing lowers the psi??????
And be more specific????
Also what does the screw near where you insert the tank i left it half way in????

the screw next to the GAUGE ADJUSTS YOUR REGULATOR...(PSI)...

the knob under where you cock it is the "VELOCITY ADJUSTER"...

the set screw on the VELOCITY ADJUSTER is the tournament lock...so you can't change the VELOCITY druing play...you tighen that after you set up the gun...keep it loose during set up so you can use the adjuster..

Opps i ment what changes the FPS???????

ptflyer

both.....

turning up your regulator will incress you fps...(up the psi a little and your fps incress in big jumps)....

thats why you get it close with your reg...

and then fine tune with the velcity adjuster...(thats why you start with your velcity adjuster half way in...so you can adjust it UP or DOWN) after you get it close with the reg....

the springs are lighter, so the gun needs less work to move the internals, thus creating a lower psi.
