I AM EITHER BUYING A KINGMAN SPYDER TL PLUS OR A TIPPMANN CUSTOM 98!
__________________________________________________ ____________________
Now I am looking for feedback on which gun I would be
better off with as my first gun. I love the look and style
of the spyder but the tippmann's extended handel makes me
think, "Maybe that would be more comfortable..."
__________________________________________________ ____________________
Well I have checked other posts and have seen other polls
but I want it to come down to this, what gun do you
recommend to newbie player who wants durability over looks
and wants accuracy over range. I want the best of the two
but I want to most upgradable. Give me your comments and
give me your insight. You all (most of you) have
experienced one game or two and have used multiple guns.
Please lend me your ears and save me from spending the
worst $200 I will have ever spent!

To tell the truth, I havent used either, however i did used to own a spyder. I like the spyder a little more because of just the long style of the tippman, i think would just not fit my style. Both Guns are super upgradeable. I have heard that the tippman is really accurate, but then again its hard for me to compare. Personally, I would go with the spyder cause of the style and all the things you could do to it.

I would go with the Spyder. If you are willing to shell out a few more bucks get a Spyder Xtra instead of the TL+. I like the Spyder because it fits my style of play more. If you play speedball or rec ball get a Spyder. If you play woods get a Tippy. I would go with Spyder though. The Spyder has more upgrades. They are durable too. If you take care of your gun, it will take care of you.

spyder definetly. i own 2 right now and love them.

i used to own a tippmann but they always broke so i sold it.
And my friend has one and it always breaks too.
Tippmanns arent as durable as they say they are

(yes i know how to maintain a gun properly and every gun that i owned worked or works)

Tippmann's are too long... with a 14 inch barrel a 20 oz co2 and the gun is huge...i'd say the Spyder

You can do a lot to a spyder to make it an amazing gun. However, there is less you can do to a m98. Also m98 are to f'ing long! If you do get the spyder, you must clean it. Oil it every time after use. Keep dirt and other crap out of the gun. If you are not willing to do this, get the m98, they require a lot less maintenance.

I think I will get the Tippmann,

It looks more fun.

Also, I will have a remote so the tank won't add any hugeness.

The Tippman is a good choice. It's one of the most durable guns out there. If you haven't ordered it yet, I would shoot someone else's spyder, and someone's Tippman. Whichever you like the feel of better, get that. It doesn't really matter what you get, you'll like it either way.

Thanx Nick,
I will get the tippmann package with flatline barrel.
How do you think that is?
It includes,
the Nforcer mask /w thermal
Flat Line
Custom 98 tippmann
20 ounce
Remote (I think, can't remember)
Oil
Parts kit
Hopper (200)
Adjustable elbow
And I think that is all the ****e, maybe a gun plug too.
only 300! (that includes shipping)

Now for the spyder Tl Plus it is only 250 /w shipping (this shipping is less and you don't get new barrel.

What is a better deal?

I hear that the flat line costs like 100 - 150 by itself and if I get it in this package it is only like 50$$!!

Anyone have any better ideas?

If no one sparks me I will just get the tippmann (gonna have to save a little more money for the ブcking Barrel.

So pretty much Tipp has 65 % of the votes in my mind and the spyder is close behind with the remaining 35%, Tipp or Spyder?

Flatline is really hard to clean and is only really good in the woods. Personally I would go with the TL, but that is me.

you can get a really good new barrel for the tl at www.firstcallpaintball. The 14" smart parts all american for $50. That barrel, is better than the flatline, and will work well for speedball or the woods. It also retails for $75, you it is like 33% off.

What is wrong with the ネat Line?

I can just use a squeegie to clean it so what else is bad?

I mean, I can get it in a package (the ネat is only 50 in the package).

Maybe I will get the spyder, handel placement on the tippmann looks more comphertable, anyone like the distance between the handels on the tippmann?

I know I already posted this but I want to emphasize,

What is hard about the ネat line and about cleaning?

orryn

The flatline mounts ontop of you m98. You can't easily take it off and run a squeegy through it like other barrels. So to take it off and clean it will take around 15 minutes. Basically you can't clean the barrel in a game, and every break you get you have to waste 15 inbetween games. And you will break balls in your m98 every once in a while.

Get a tippmann with a flatline and a big arse dropforward. If you want it to shoot fast get the rt sytem and those 2 upgrades make it soo much of a awsome gun very fast and hoooge range. If you want a spyder get a piranha instead.

That's a pretty good deal. The flatline isn't a bad barrel, It's just a little over hyped.

get a spyder

the tippys have really low resale value when you sell it. its hard to sell a stock tippy for 75 used. i sold my spyder for 130 without barrel. then i got a cocker, sold that then got a bushy. WHOA

Why do you want the STS G2 Titanium instead of just the STS G2? If you upgrade, the parts won't match anyways.

U/\/a/\/\eD
07-23-2001, 09:36 PM
nm, I am getting the G3 Titanium!

Ignoring you, I already have it so it doesn't matter anymore!

Get the Spyder if you are wanting faster shooting, and a lighter gun.
Get a Tippman if you are wanting a gun just to screw around with. You can beat the crap out of a Tippman.
I have a Spyder TL+ and my brother has a Tippman 98. I like my Spyder way better than his Tippman. BUT its your money and your choice.
