Stupid press for our sport.

Tonight on FX on Video justice they had a segment about the idiots in LA that went around shooting people with an SL-68II. More great press. They of course did not mention the people they beat with a baseball bat. These winners of society decided to tape it all. I will say the best part of the video showed the prosocuter that handled the case. THe bad part was they had a defense attourny who had his clent get shot at with no goggles on to show how reabilitated he was. What a *******. The defese attorney whined they should only have gotten a year. But finally the system does good and those A@#holes got 4 years like they should have.

i would hate to be a defensive attourney...they get the worst rep of all man! even if they are dead guilty, all the fingers are pointing at you, you have to deny that, whine, cry, and stand up for them, and say they murderer should only get 2 years. man..i'd hate to be them.

I wonder all of the time why people become defense attorneys in the first place. I mean, sure they make good money, but you can make a lot of money doing other jobs too.

I saw that on FX too. The best part was when the cop pulled around the corner and busted em'. It was horrible publicity for the sport though, especially the, "Look how rehabilitated I am" segment. That was the worst part, why does all paintball coverage have to be bad? It's like a curse that the real paintballers suffer through just so some idiot with a marker can screw things up.

i saw an artical of someone saying that all markers are set a 400fps..also anther one where i read that at 250fps was 350mph wich is wrong

Paintball is beaten down on because it involves shooting. If baseball required you to shot a ball at the runner instead of throw it, it would be beaten the same.

the damn press always reports the bad stuff about our sport. they dont say that you must wear a mask while playing, that your gun must be lower than 295 FPS, and they dont mention it is one of the safest sports because of all the protection. they say paintball teaches kids violence, war, and hatred. they are all wrong. they should just play for one day and i bet they will change their mind. paintball is all about fun. im so sick of reading about bad stories about paintball.

1000 FPS?!? thats the kind of stuff that is ruining our sport. the only people that fully understand the sport are the people who play. this doctor oviously didnt know that the limit is 295 FPS, he probably didnt know you had to wear a mask either. why dont they ban football, or hockey? people get major injuries in those sports. but they see guns in paintball so they automatically think paintball is a violent game. oh i have nothin against hockey or football

I think if people can fence (stab at each other with swords)do kung fu ,punch,tackle,slam,check they sure as hell better acept paintball...i dont really see the differnce..the press just wants to say that paintball involes people shooting at each other with guns...but they arent guns they are markers..and they dont shoot bullets they shoot a jelliten shell with sometype of secret paint forumla =)

Taking that last line into consideration, I would like to ask an offtopic question:

What is the best paint for around 40 bucks?

It used to be direct hit but they are gone i guess..they dissapeared or went out of business or something. I loved Direct Hit!! 40 bucks, great fill, good color fill, good color shell, small but i dont care about the bore size.

So what do you think is the best low costing paintball now that DH is gone? I don't care what the bore is, but it needs a good thick and bright fill and needs to be around 40 bucks. PMI? What do you guys think?

your right. i dont get how they can see paintball being dangerous when you have all the other sports you mentioned. the press wants paintball to sound bad and maybe get it banned :(
