Man, I would love to start a paintball club in my high school, but I don't know how to go at doing this. How would I be able to persuade them that paintball is safe and fun?

You should find a teacher that would serve as a chaperone for your paintball trips, or at least a teacher who would like to play. After that you might want to talk to your school's administration w/ the help of that teacher. In addition, you may want to search the web for stats on paintball. For example, you can search on warpig for stats on how popular paintball is, how many injuries it has per year, etc.

Start small and then work your way up. It should work well as long as you don't represent your self badly as militaristic kids.:P

I am a member of a highschool paintball club...instead of trying a school sponsorship we went directly to a local field where they gave us tons of discounts and our own bunkhouse...we plan all our own games and everything our site is www.emrheadhunters.com ... the reson we didnt try doing it through the school is most school dont like the concept at all

Are you just a group of friends who go to school together or play? Or is it actually a school team?

go here

this is NCPA's site on National Highschool Tournaments for Varsity and JV. the forums would also give advice on starting a club/sport

we tried to start a club, not school funded, just school recognized, because a guy who owns our local feild works at our school. We got like 50-100(im not sure) people to sign a petition, and we got our parents to sign a form saying they would support it too. I think somthing that would persuade people a lot is if you had parental support. Having a form saying that your parents support this club would go a long way.
