Well... the question mark and the subject hopefully purveys the message contained in the post. What the heck could I do to a Shutter that would be worthwhile? I only have 45 bucks that I can spend right now, and anything I can do in that price range will help (No, I'm not an idiot, I know that I can get a whole load of just about nothing for that, but ANY suggestions will help). However, the birthday is approaching quickly and my family has a GREAT payoff on such days. :) So anything insanely expensive could also be suggested. Thanks in advance. ;)

if you wanna upgrade, the first thing is the barrel. ALso, do a trigger job, almost free, and it's posted up here, and it's good directions too..heres the link:

Well, I tried for about 20 minutes to get the trigger pin out of the frame and it seemed like I was just scratching the hell out of the frame and the pin. I tried from both ways and it didn't budge. Should I hit it harder or should I quit while Im ahead?

you will have to hit it w/ some force. It is a lot more stiff than hitting in a nail into wood. Make sure that you are hitting out the grooves. find out which of the frame has the grooves and hit out the other side or else the frame will become ruined. It will take force. Just nail the pin. If you don't feel comfortable don't do it.

I really appreciate all the help and I know I'm being a tremendous pain in the a§§ but how would I know which side has the grooves in it?

It is the side that you push the safety in to make the safety work.

Hit it form the side that says the warning on it so it comes out the side with the shutter writtne on it. Take a nail, utrn it upside down, and hit the pin hard, when it starts to come out pull it with pliers

Ok, I got the trigger job to work, and I think I settled on a J&J Ceramic. Now on a Spyder Shutter would you reccomend I get a 12 inch or a 14 inch?

14 in. defenitely. The highest on any barrel i would say is a 16 incher.

while we're talking about shutter mods, I figure I'll ask about regulators on TL+...what all is involved in this? I will obviously need the regulator...
what else? My tl+ is completely stock with 14" j&j ceramic.
I kinda need a checklist of stuff to do to go LP, so, starting with the regulator...then what?
thanks guys.
