Should NPPL ban??

there have been rumors of the NPPL banning select fire markers which is most likely true...My opion is that the NPPL should ban select fire guns if they have tourny lock on them give me some feedback...

I'm not a tourney player, but I think anything but semi-auto shouldn't be allowed in tournaments, it takes away from the skill in paintball. If you are using a semi gun and can shoot 10bps, then you have a fast finger and have some skill. However, anybody off the street can shoot 10bps with a full auto gun.

i feel that they should ban turbo/full auto/burst but not take away electro....i play with people with angels/shcokers/other electro i have my STo cocker i do great =)

Oh yea, definitely allow electros. I wasn't really clear. If the electro has different settings, then it has to be on semi-auto. I am in the process of getting an impulse.

ahh pums/stocks have there own class well some tourney's class them but i see a sniper 2 with electro i dont know why they would do that???

Ban? Why Ban? Banning is dumb, I mean if they put more money into the game then they should have a better advantage. If you don't have money you will have to put in training time. Get what I am saying? Either way, in paint ball it isn't like there is anything wrong with any class.
With the pump class you will take more time to be more accurate and waste less ammo where as if you have an angel on full auto you are bound to lose a 200 hopper in no time flat with 75% of those shot hitting nothing but air (and probably the ground or a tree). So I guess what I am trying to say is Ban is no plan because a drive a van:D:eek:

Dude, money shouldn't determine anything. It is just unfair to give someone an advantage because they have more money. I like the fact that I can hang in there with guys who have $1000+ setups while I have $300 setup. It makes the game fun.

Play newbies with electros, you'll win.
Usually people with a high end gun will have some skill, because they have put the time into the game to justify a higher end gun. Thus, upgrading :)

nppl is in 1 year process of banning select fire, and or any electro with select fire. by next year, or by the time world cup 2k1 comes around, most if not all tourny players should high end electro with semi-only boards in the markers... this is only for players that play in nppl, but it might spread to all tournies... so be on the lookout for upcoming news about this subject.

They are making all guns have semi only boards soon. All turbo, burst, full auto etc will be gone.

Except it would be really easy to just go buy a stamp and program it for anything you want. (Or if they are already using a stamp instead of on board hardware implementation, all it would take is a computer, some home made cable, an internet connection, and lousy programming skills).

As long as there are electric guns, you can easily make them full auto if you know how.

Have you ever been shot at with full auto while you have a semi? It is really kinda unfair. You are able to get one or two shots off while trying to protect yourself against a huge barrage of balls. It takes the fun out of the game.

full auto on most markers suck....not the intimmy but on angels you will chop...i played 3 years ago at a feild i had my spyder i think i got owned =(

Personally I dont care. I've played guys with angels who could seriously rip their triggers, and 16 balls hitting your bunker is about as impressive as 8, and when you're running, you dont notice how fast someone is shotting at you, so it dont matter. I hope the guns keep getting faster, and as for banning non semi only boards, what are they going to do? check the insides of your gun and have matching parts diagrams to ensure it's semi? Totally unenforceable, so screw that NPPl rule, it aint gonna work

I know they are serious. But tell me, how are they going to enforce this? They cant. They arent going to have you take your gun apart at the chrono station, it would take 20 minutes just to get a team on the field

The guns arent banned, the chips are banned. So again, ban it all you want, ban it 50 times, be very serious, do whatever, you still can not enforce this rule

I'm all for a rate of fire limit and select fire ban until technology permits it to be safe. But, for now semi is all that should be allowed.

i dont think they should force you to get new boards that are strictaly semi!

i think they should check oyu rgun before each game
because if you are playing some rec ball you may wan to use your select mode

but that really isnt fair if they say you have to turn your ROF down to a lower grade marker i say if you spend 1,200$ on an angel/shocker you should be able to use the modes.
