No. It enhances accuracy but the effect on range is minimal.

it does increase accuracy because the ball is pushed out of the barrel instead of smacked, causing less distortion in the ball, but distance is not. LP or not, 300 fps is 300 fps, and no matter what gun you have (except the flatline barrel and Z body) the distance will be the same if you have the same speed.

lp also means more gas guzzling.

LP can increase accuracy for two reasons, less ball deformation, and better consistency. If you have a good bolt and good consistency, then up your pressure. Afterall, what good is accuracy if it takes the ball a full damn hour to get to them? I learned this the hard way.
