how did you get sponsers

hey me and some friends were wanting to make a team for the next turney season. We all need some better equipment and wanted to see if we could get a few local business to sponser us. could you give us some tips, and some things to tell them about paintball. We were thinking along the lines of my dads work for a sponsor pizza hut radio stations that kind of fun stuff. plez give me some ideas and tips. all help is greatly appreciated.

thats the point we need some stuff and we wert really looking to get jt as our first sponcer im thinking little places but a bunch of them.

You need to actually play the tournies to see if you like *****ing at the refs, dealing with cheaters, haveing to be bunkered constantly. Poeple often look at it as they deserve sponsership when they play, but why would a company sponser a losing team?
All in all, you probably won't get sponsered, not your first year if ever.

yea we play at our feild ever tues night its a like a local tourney. we draw our team outa a hat but its got all the turney rules in every way so thats how i know i need a much better gun, cause a guy with an angel would pin me in a bunker and another would come up and bunker me it happed 3 times and it suked bad.

thats why u move or shoot him from the other side of the bunker you dont just sit there behind ur bunker ur just askin for it cause u dont know whats goin on outside of your bunker u should take risks and move!!!!!

Rule number one, play tournaments, and play them often. Talk to the vendors there, you'll seem more appealing because they want teams that are gonna play and get their name out there. Rule number 2, play hard and play clean. At our last tournament I personally had 4 refs thank me for playing the way I did (call myself out when i see a break, rather than keep going till the ref pulls me), and it looks much better than people wiping. If you're a screwming arsehole, nobody is gonna want to sponsor you. Lastly, if you dont get sponsored at a tourney (we were lucky and they came to us, the thought never even occured to us to look for another sponsor), make up a team profile type thing, with bios, team history, team goals (ie, to play fairly and have fun or something like that), tournaments you have played and intend to play. Lastly, be friendly and if a sponsor isnt currently looking for a team, dont get discouraged, ask when you could come back, or what improvements you could make to your team to make it more appealing for sponsorship. And dont give up, you never know, our first sponsor was a software company :) Good luck bro, and tournament paintball is nowhere near as bad as some might want you to believe, I'm starting to move away from rec play because I'm enjoying the competitive nature of tournaments so much. and you get bunkered because of your gun? i think not

Got bunkered due to the other teams coordination and skill? most likely, it's not as if you need an awesome gun to play, addmittedly it helps, but once you pass 5 bps it's doesn't really matter

You get bunkered because of lack of communication, pulling off a bunkering is a hard move to do. Its easier to snap shoot the guy coming at you on the bunker move than it is for the guy trying to bunker you to hit you on the run.

well ok ok im sorry i should just said i really want a new gun for no reason. ok happy i have surpassed my guns performance with skill. and it is the comunicatoin we really need to work on that we havent played speedball long.

yea i dont think ur goin to find a sponser with that attitude dont blame ur gun its ur fault u got bunkered
