ok i agree with some people that sniping dosent exsist but i also see how it can exsisit.
ok here it goes
i think sniping is shooting your enemy without there knowledge of the shot and when hit they have no idea of were it came from now i think you have to be atleast 20 yards away to be a true sniper hit.
also waiting in one place for an extremly long time for a 1s1k is also snipping
1s1k=1 shot 1 kill

But there are many types of sniping. I believe there are two categories however, defensive and offensive sniping.
Offensive snipers do in fact stay in the back of the pack or "out of the way" of the main pack as to not draw attention to him/herself when they begin to fire. They are always moving because staying in the same place would be completely dumb because eventually you will be caught. HOWEVER...when you "camp" or stay in the same spot in offensive sniping, it is almost always to try and asassinate (sp?) a certain indivual that will be at that particular location.
Defensive snipers are in fact campers as they take a spot in areas that provide good cover and camoflauge (sp?). They will usually take residence in one spot and wait for the enemy to come to them, as they are defending. HOWEVER...when moving as a sniper defensively (hardly ever) it will be because the enemy is retreating towards a safer spot in their opinion and you have to go and provide backup.
All in all, you can have snipers in paintball. However in speedball types, they are called backmen because they are not rushing towards the flag. They are providing cover fire and usually are not the first targeted. So you can metaphorically say they are snipers but its all your own opinion. In woods however, snipers are more legit because they have natural cover and the teams are usually larger so a good sniper will not draw attention when setting him/herself up. *yes I know its long but bare with me, I'm bored :P* However, in the end, sniper or not, you'll most likely end up fighting close quarters because of the setup of the fields.
Thanks for reading if you got through it :P I am bored!!!

No more sniping threads! Everyone on these boards are too ignorant to admit that they could be wrong, so you aren't going to accomplish anything with another thread.

Good point Ethon. I totally agree with the fact that there can be snipers in paintball, because it is much more the type of tactics used that determines a "sniper."

LOL!
Sniping?
When I snipe is when get in a tower that is in my backyard and shoot people from up there.
Anyother time it isn't sniping to me.
Now could the moderators lock this thread?
He can just post in those threads and not right here in front of my eyes.
Well whatever,

I've seen you argue several times that sniping doesn't exist in paintball. Considering that you don't even own a gun, do you really think that you know if sniping exists or not? Have you even played paintball before?
