First, I have built MANY custom cockers, and the Jackhammer II works just fine thank You. My guess is thay you have heard that for one of the many "rock" fans Its sotras like the many "spyders suck" type posts.

The ANS has proven to give one of the widest pressure ranges useable on an Impulse. We have had a lot of problems with various "mini" type regs that will give you shoot down when you realy get on the trigger.

the ANS has another feature that is real nice-- its max output is about 150 PSI-- that means that you can't accidently crank the pressur up to levels that will damage the solenoud

So you can use a lot of different regs on the Impulse, but the ANS is well proven and a "Knowen" factor.

My friend has a Jackhammer II on his Impulse, which you know is made by ANS, and it works flawlessly. Never had any problems, and he is glad he bought it. As for ANS products on cockers, I've only seen good things. Many of the people at my field shoot cockers that have ANS products on them, and they shoot very nice. I probably would take the Palmers Rock over a Jackhammer on my cocker, but on an Impulse, I'd definitely go with the Jackhammer.

Both me and Heyheyhey, have far more experience with cockers than imps (im pretty sure for him), and ans makes pretty horrible quality stuff for autocockers, thats prolly why he was curious on why so many people used ans lpr's on their imps.

yea, ans's stuff is pretty horrible for cockers, there sno doubt in that. palmers, shocktech, and macdev regs are by far better, i was just curious why its the opposite for imps:)
