I am looking into buying a gun package that is under 300 smackers.

Now I have been looking into this and have posted a lot about it.

With all of the comments I have recieved I am moving to a new beginning.

I am planning at shopping of http://www.thepaintballstore.com so if you look there and see a good package under 300 I will look into.

This will be my frist gun that I will have owned, not borrowed so I want to make it a good one.

Please post markers I should buy as well comments on markers I should buy.

Remember I will spend no more than 300, and will spend no less than 200 (25o would be a prime price).

I thought a custom 98 but so many bad comments on it made me think.

I don't want a bad gun, please reply with great options for me to choose from!

Then just a mask, tank, loader and your pretty much set and should be under 300 bucks.. and is much beter than the shutter and ext pro.

Consider a piranha, they are very good markers for the price. No better or worse than a spyder. Plus from what I have heard, PMI has great customer service.

Accuracy, low pressure, look cool, the most upgradeable gun out there, range, rof. Everything is good about them. They just get kinda expensive.

A gun like the cocker doesn't come cheap. You are asking for a little too much. Mebbe an impulse, but not as your first gun. Get a blow back, and then play a little and then upgrade. A good rule of thumb, you get what you pay for. So unless you are willing to pay a lot for a gun, you aren't gonna get the best thing out there.

I am not asking too much, it is just ever gun I mention gets soo much rap it seems like they all suck. What doesn't make sence to me is if they suck so much why do so many people buy them.

I am getting a custo 98 with some kind o' barrel.

Got any ideas for a barrel?

I use the nVader, but that is because I only play rec ball right now. It really isn't any better or worse than the nForce. The Flex 7 is only better because you get occassional bouce, but that is it. Get a decent mask to start out with. You can upgrade later.

get the 98 custom, which runs $125 at http://www.paintballgeeks.com

get a j&j ceramics barrel, they run about $40 at various places online

get the r/t kit for the custom, they run about $90 the same place as the gun

now that you have a sweet gun, spend a little bit of money on the rest of the stuff and you'll be set

For a m98?

I see a lot of people with Dye excels ($40ish) Since you have a big gun I would get something in the 12" range. Maybe a SP progressive or tear drop. If you are willing to spend more on the barrel get an All American.

Along with a barrel you should get a drop forward.

I'll leave color up to you. Stock is fine, if you get a remote, you'll have to get a 4+1 pack or something similar. I would suggest getting a drop forward instead. It balances the gun better. I would get a $50 all american. That or a drop first. Probably the barrel though. Go to http://www.firstcallpaintball.com to get it.

Dont get a remote, their known to restrict air flow. Get a drop forward and a barrel. I like TKO/PMI drop forward.

I decided to save my money,

I am getting a Piranha G3 STS Power-Feed Titanium.

I will upgrade to regulator and drop forward later and stick with a remote for now.

look for a used mag on ebay or something you can find a whole pacage ready for play for 300 and you get a real nice mag sometimes with extras like barrels or ans bolt or something. if you get a spyder if i breaks it takes forever to get replacement parts due to it being foreign and if you are looking at a spyder get a pirahna similar to it but go with a used better gun cause you will end up selling ur Spyder or Pirahna and will loose alot of money so may as well start off with a better used gun and if you pick up a good deal you might be able to unload it for more when you go to sell it. Win Win situation.
