thanks I'll try to get that permission thing you're talking about as for running away we usually try that but the fat guy always gets caught and they threaten to give him a ticket if we don't come back so we always do not because we like the guy but because he's the rich kid who's buying us a big CO2 tank

Just ask the owners if you can, tell them that you'll clean up all the mess ,papers and stuff and not distroy his land. Tell him the paint washes off wont stay forever. Even get a parent too go with you. Belive me we have outlaw games all over my town and 4 near by. These people only want too keep the place clean . And thats what we do clean up after ourselfs

Yes it is called tresspassing and disterbing the peace if you play on land that is not yours and casue people to call the police.
And whatever you do, do NOT play paintball on parks. That is the other 2 crimes and you can get charged for defacing (yes I know paintballs are not perminant) public property.

up near my house we live on a developed mountain , yeah ,yeah ,yeah I know yes a mountain and we have a revene(sp) near our house where we play the land is own by skyland estates community corp however one of my friends
dad is the president and his son if one of the regulars we play with so there is no hub bub if someone were to call the cops on us which has never happened we would mark right back to our buddies house and have him say that we have his express perission.Where my buddy live they are pretty anal about the whole thing and I am sure that it would not take much to have them bring in a swift hand of justice...

I made a field in the woods. Its my friend property and he plays with us. so we have no probs, not yet at least. u can just try and get a person that owns land to play with u.

we have someone that owns land who plays with us but he's a jerk. We've asked him repeatedly if we can use his land but he says no. The reason, we have this little 5 man team that we play with around town when we play against other people in town and he refuses to let us use it if he can't be on the team. We would just cave and let him on the team, but our entire team as it is works together just fine and all this guy likes to do is hang back near the flag and try to pick people off on the other team. He doesn't listen to what anybody says and will stay in that spot the whole game. He's the only person who plays with us who has land.

What region of NC do you live in?
I live in Gastonia (Near Charlotte). We play at a great field down the road. All that the owner charges us for is CO2 fills. No field fee whatsoever. We even get to use our own paint.
Does your buddy with all the land realize that he could make a little dough by letting you guys play there? There is usually a big game every sunday on this guys property outside of town and he makes a killing just selling CO2 to us. He pays like 25 bucks for 50 lb of CO2 and sells it for $3 a fill (12 oz). I usually order a few cases of paint from shop4paintball.com and sell it to the players there. I can buy a case of paint for a good price and make $20 off of it. This keeps my paintball hobby fairly self-sufficient.
Tell him that he could make some money. I bet he'd reconsider!

I live in Halifax county in NNE North carolina just on the virginia border
I would tell my friend that but we all order our own paint off of shop4paintball.com and me and my friends already split the price on a big 'ole CO2 tank maybe he could charge a field fee or something and try to make money that way, like 2 dollars or something thanks for the advice

where we play, we havent had a problem. Some one actually went adn complained to the cops, but as it ended up, it is perfectly legal, and they gave the guy a magazine about paintball when he complained.

yeah and if anybody does have a problem he'll raid their house and point big guns at everybody and there'll be a big controversy but it's alright becasue his finger wasn't on teh trigger when pointing the gun at the children.
sorry sometimes I get a little carried away

Call your local forest service and find out where public use lands are. DO NOT RUN FROM COPS!! Get county maps of back country roads. Look for roads near small crossable streams far from town. If people see your cars they will think your fishing and most people are to lazy to cross water to mess with you.

If it is your own land. As long as it is not a wetland, it does not make too much noise (ie violates a sound ordanace) and there are no laws against discharging airguns(paintball markers fall in this catigory) in your area, you should be fine.
i have decided to bring this thread back to life, if you like post on it, if not, screw you.

Me and 4 of my friends went paintballing in my neighborhood and we didnt get in any trouble. I "accidently" shot a house but i dont think they noticed. A cop car drove by and told us to be safe and that's it. It's hella fun playing across the road.

heheheheh buy some camo climb a tree and practice accuracy by picking people off. or if you have a 2 story house shoot out 2nd story window at cars that drive by (theyll never know who did it). But dont shoot cop cars or the local school youll be caught for sure

i, and each one of my friends play with have atleast a couple acres of woods near our houses, so we just take turns playin at eachothers woods
me and some friends of mine were once innocently shooting water ballons across the street with a launcher. We shot it up once and about 3 seconds later saw a police car drive by. Low and behold, we hit it and the guy freaked out, he turned his lights on and everything. we went and appologized to him and he understood. That sucked though.

we had a cop as a guest speaker at our school one time. he told us if there are any questions about paintball laws just call the police station and ask. and if we are within the law and people still have a problem we should call the cops ourselves. he said someone would come over and straighten it out. he actually seemed like he was on our side. So next time someone yells at you, you should call the police and see if you are actually breaking the law. if you arent, tell them to go to hell and call the cops on them instead.

1) If you are on somebody's land ALWAYS ask permission first!
2) Clean up your trash.
3) Don't point paintball guns at cops. It makes everybody nervous. Back in '99 some of my high school buds and I were playing Lazer Tag at 9pm on school grounds. (Note the year, 1999, way before all the school shootings.) A cop drew his REAL gun on my friend who had a camo'ed Lazer Tag rifle. Wow that was a scary night.

It's a sting, terpsare1 is a cop! He will bust each and everyone of our butts when we call the cops and give away what we have been doing.

One of my friend's dad is a cop and his dads cop friends offered to let my friend borrow hid paintball gun to play. The cops in my neck of the woods arn't against paintballing they just make sure that if you shouldn't be playing at a place than they will come over (the parks service is the annul group about paintballing, we stomp on the furns lol lol :p).

when i was helping my aunt at her work one of the people that worked there saw me reading a paintball mag and asked me to bring my guns for them to see and we ended up playing a game during the dudes lunch break. this was in the middle of a big city right accros the street from wal-mart and nobody called the cops on us. but then the next day i wrecked my truck (just thought i would add that in)

We also play in the woods. Where we play, no one can hear the shots because we play about 10 minutes from any civilization. You just have to get permission.
i think i'm gonna go back down there soon and ask permission from the guy that ran us off. That's the best place in town to play so i hope he lets us use it again

yea just get permision from the owners and make a deal w/ them that nothin will be destroyd even invite them to play and have a parent there to suppervise just so it looks good cause they probly call the cops cause they dont see any one keeping peace they just see a bunch of kides running around in chaos
no, they called the cops the first time because the fat kid and the skinny stupid kid that used to play with us kept shooting cars and houses. Then the fat kid decided to shoot 200 rds. at a for sale sign for a house and shoot up some no tresspassing signs nearby. that's why we got kicked off. He doesn't play with us anymore so i thin the guy would let us use it again
