Yeah, I bit the idea from the N vs S thread. But this one might actually happen! ;)

Would any of you be interested in meeting for a game at one of the local fields? Maybe SC or Tombstone? It seems like there's at least 10 of us in the So Cali area.

I'm thinking August...maybe the 2nd week or so? Leave a post and let us know if you're interested. Also, let us know what city you're in.

I'm in RSM/Mission Viejo until August 22nd, then I'm living in Palos Verdes/Torrance for school.

Well, we can team up next weekend at Pendleton if you want. But it's up to you, I'm gonna have a few first-timers with me. My girlfriend, my 10-year old brother, and another friend of mine - neither of them have ever played before. Out of my 4-person group, I'm the only one who's played.

We can set a date in August maybe for another trip to Pendleton, and post it on the boards. Maybe we'd get more players.

Anyone else want to go to Pendleton next weekend?

Any other people interested in getting a group together? Where are you guys?!

Pendelton is on Camp Pendelton, Ca, or in other words, Oceanside, CA. I might be able to go to SC but Ill have to get some people to go with me, cause my dad wont drive just me. It would be better to go to SC, cause they have way more fields there, and its in a more nuetral location.

I guess SC or Tombstone would be fine with me. I know Tomb charges $20/day. Is SC also $20?

I have to find what's cost effective. ;) I don't have a lot of money to spend at the moment. Also, make sure we don't go anywhere that's "field paint only." Also known as, "Bend over while we charge you $85/case for cheap paint."

I can't find any info on Pendleton...I found out they don't even have a phone at the site there. I am going to play this coming Saturday, but I may end up at SC Village instead of Pendleton (Knight...up for a game this weekend??). If you're free, look for me there. Maybe we can chat then.

Otherwise...I'm planning around the 2nd week of August, on a Saturday.

Info on Pendelton: BYOP or buy Diablo (Price is too high though) but Cobra Paintball isnt far and their alright on paint. Admission $9 all day. They have a web site, though it dont have to much info. They charge 1,2,3 dollars for co2 refills $1 for being any tank from 1-9 ounces, $2 for 10-16 and $3 for 17-24. Nitro $1 for every 1000psi on tanks under the size of 68ci, anything over that is $2 for every 1000 psi. Oh and hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

One more thing, at Pendelton you have to chrono before every game, so you dont get too many sets in.

i would play with u guys but im outa town like all the weekends in augest. a place inOC would be best, cuse its inbetween SD and LA. although if u guys are going to Corona, i suggest tombstone, only becuase u can play for free. anll u do is get air fills and nitro and just self-ref your own games on a field that isnt being used. that like cuts the price in half. they also have nice speedball if u guys like that stuff. well hope u guys have fun. email me if u are confused.

we skipping sessions.

anyways, have you tried thought about getting
rentals from one of the local paintball shops.
the one nearest to my local, which is paintball
players club, (PPC-la mirada) rents out bruzer outlaws, mask and tank, for 20 bucks. 15 if you are a member! great
rental for you first time players. they have several
locations in the so. cal area. but any of the local
shops may have rentals as well. anythings better
then the park rentals.

The weekend of August 18/19 is off limits for me. I have a race at Buttonwillow that weekend. I was thinking August 11/12 for the group game (2nd weekend in Aug.)

THIS weekend...I have to play on Sunday, July 29th, instead of Saturday. My brother is busy on Saturday. It's 9 bucks to play, 28 for admission/rentals/air. Hours are 9 - 4:30. As far as the GROUP GAME...the weekend of August 11th/12th looks to be the best for me. I'll be busy the next 2 or 3 weekends after that, and by then, I'm back up at school anyway.

What was someone saying about playing for FREE at Tombstone?! How does that work? If you have to buy their paint, forget about it. lol. But let me know, I hadn't heard this before.

Wheres Simi Valley, well anyways its on Camp Pendelton, you enter it from the front gate (Oceanside side) and head down the road for another 7 miles.

Oceanside, where camp pendelton is located, is about 130 miles away from Simi Valley... that's more than 2 hours of driving...

Hey, there's a tourney on the 19th, so maybe can't 18th. But if we don't go, I have a group of friends who will probably go, but we'll most likely go tournament admission at SC only. It's 10 bucks for the tourney fields.

Yeah on the 18th, rec/walk-on is still available. At SC, you can play the tournament fields for $10. SC lets you play on the tourney fields for a low price. I really don't play rec anymore, just the tourney fields( good for team practice, and faster play than rec ). For the tourney fields, SC doesn't hold your hand to play paintball. You have still have to chrono your gun, and pretty much make your own game. There's refs out there, but they're really kick back.

Just went this weekend, it was cool. My friends and I are planning to go this weekend, August 4th. We'll have a good group of people, around 10 playin' tourney. If any of ya's can make it out, come out.

Oh yeah, X^3, how many do you have on your team. I saw your recruiting. Maybe we can have a team scrimmage or something.

The team is just being made with a number of rec players. Right now, there are 6 members but but i dont know if all of them can make it to the 18th... but ya, otherwise, the team scrimmage idea sounds good...! i think all of us can use practice to prep for the '02 season...

for scrimmage games! we're just getting out
of the rec scene as well and started the tounies
fields at sc, our last visit. we're getting in
some practice at sc this weekend and learning as we go. sunday the 5th.

FYI Knightfall and FLops and anyone else who would like to come out and play, my friends and I are planning to be at SC tthis weekend SATURDAY, AUGUST 4TH. Look for a bunch which consists primarily of asian people. We'll probably have two canopies and we like to setup by the stage.
