Well, I JUst got my spyder tl+...new j&j is on the way, but for today, just stock barrel.

The nelspat balls fit in the stock barrel, so after lubing it up, I shot about 15 balls...man, they flung out in all different directions...can't possibly see how someone could hit their target with that...

well, ok...not all flung out badly, but some...it was terrible.

Can't wait for the j&J ceramic.

One Question...when I received the gun (from paintballgear.net), it appears as if it has been handled previously. A few scratches and possibly a marking (engraving) in the gills onthe right side (from rear). It just looks like someone has handled it.

When I lubed it up, there appears to be no internal wear. I have heard of these scratching the bolts when fired, but I saw nothing like that...all appeared fine, but it was possibly slightly lubed already...which also struck me as odd, since they're supposed to come dry.

Any ideas on what the situation is? It fires great, sounds fine, barrel is horrible, but tomorrow I get my j&J and I'll really see what it can do.

Gonna work on TLPlus's trigger mod soon.

paintball gear handles most of their stuff before they send it to check for defects. but if its scratched o well.

the thing is that most guns are bone dry because they have been sitting on the shelves for a long time. Your gun might not have been sittin on the shelf for a long time. As for the scratches, i had them too..no biggie i didnt' mind.

Hey damn did you make sure to take you barrel off and dry fire the gun right after lubing it up cause if you get oil down the barrel it will make balls hook all over the place .
if you have a squeggee squegee the barrel out if you don't own one then roll up some tissue or toilet paper and push it down the barrel it should be tight you are try to wipe the walls of the barrel out... and then try refiring your gun.The barrel has to be free of paint and oil to fire correctly.
