I've had good experiences with both the PMI Premiums as well as the Viper Venoms, but the only ones I used with the stock were PMIs.

what about nelson anarchy paintballs? they're a little more expensive (i think 10$ more) but they are rated a little higher. do they work well with tippmans? thx

I played with some pink Anarchy's last weekend, and they worked fairly well. I didn't notice any distinct advantage or disadvantage though.

Big Ball always worked in my stock barrel pretty well. Premiums are good too.

personally I love Nelson Hotspot paint. Cheap ($35/case pbgear) and don't break in barrel.....actually pretty hard paint, you'll get some bounces though.
Have you tried polishing your barrel. They are pretty rough and I've seen burrs in a couple stock tippy barrels that just slice paint.

i would say get the cheapest stuff you can find until you can save up for a better barrell. the stock tippy barrell performes like old people....ah......nevermind...;)

I use viper venom and 32* competition in my armson stealth and with my stock barrel I use just about anything because I can't get accuracy out of it anyway.
