are 14 or 16 in. boomstick barrels any good on a custom 98?

No, anything over 12 inches is a waste.

Boomsticks are nice barrels, however i personally dont feel they are worth the price tag.

Get a Lapco Bigshot, or a CP one piece.

for 50 bucks from firstcall paintball you can getta All American which IMO is better then a boomy

True...but acutaully they all preform the near same grouping 12 and up...get either a ten...or a an eight if you can find it...i would personally go with a Smart Parts...Bigdaddy..but those are big...16..18 i think. So its Boomy, Smart parts, and look into stainless steel maybe heavy but it is the best barrel material...
