My choice is an evil pipe kit or freak kit.

I've heard the longbow is good too... however quite expensive. I'm putting the scepter on my birthday list and crossing my fingers personally...

Performance: Titanium Longbow. For $300, it damn well better be the best, and it most likely is. Can't beat titanium for durability and smoothness. The fully-formed, titanium backs means that there is no chance of damaging the Longbow during play.
Price: Ronin Gear Katana. Only about $130 for the full bore range, but I've heard bad things about it. My friend who owned one said that it was fragile (it would break into three pieces when he tried to unscrew it from his Autococker), and that it broke paint because of the small gap that runs down the length of the barrel. Also, because the back has to flex in order to change bores, the tolerances are pretty low.
Value: Lots of choices. The Scepter has good variety, and excellent performance, and I like the fact that the inserts self-center themselves to the fronts. The Freak has the best variety and customization, but its inserts are very fragile and it uses o-rings to hold them in place (o-rings are unreliable). The Pipe is like the Scepter in performance but more durable because it uses fully-formed backs and not inserts, but it's only available in fades, it doesn't have the bore range of the Freak, and you can only use it on one gun. The Equation uses very durable, steel inserts, but still uses o-rings and only has five bores. I have no experience with other kits.
I'm partial to insert-based systems myself, because I plan on having many guns. I chose the Scepter for three main reasons:
1) Performance. It is the same as any other barrel system, and its teflon-impregnated inserts are slick and smooth to the touch. It shoots through breaks VERY well, too.
2) Price. Like I said, I plan on owning many guns, so I only have to buy extra backs for my Scepter for $75 each to cover those guns instead of having to shell out $180 for a whole new system with the Pipe, and a stainless steel Scepter is cheaper than a stainless steel Freak. Looks better, too, IMO. The only price problem with the Scepter is that new backs and inserts for the Scepter are more expensive than they are for the Freak ($35 per Scepter insert compared to $15 per Freak insert, and $75 per Scepter back comapred to $65 per Freak back; MSRP used).
3) Reliability. The inserts are stronger than the Freak's but not as strong as the Equation's. But, unlike the Equation, the inserts of the Scepter lock into and auto-center themselves with the front instead of relying on o-rings, which means there are fewer parts to have headaches about and there's less chance (in fact, no chance) of them jostling loose and/or going off-center because of worn or warped o-rings. If they made the inserts out of steel, the Scepter would be damn near perfect. In my opinion. :D

I say the pipe is the best for the money, its only 160 and it performs great.

Don't forget CP. Especially if your planning on using one type barrel threads. No inserts, it uses different bore backs. If want to use the kit on an Angel and then on a Cocker, you would be better off with another kind of kit. If your going to be using only one type marker, you can't beat the CP kit.
