ok,
I've received all my autococker parts today, so now comes the fun part. tomorrow i will be working on this project about after lunchtime, so I will be constantly posting every few hours w/ some updates. Hopefully i can get a good chunk of this operation done tomorrow.
Btw,
i will also update my page about a closed-bolt tippmann as the day goes on...http://www.geocities.com/ilovetippmann/project.html

thx,

How long do you think it will take for you to finish it?

make sure to either screw up your valve or take the o ring off the back bolt or something so it doesnt give blowback.... you will ruin your ram and see no difference if you dont. Also your ram needs to push the rear bolt back, but the rear bolt should not be able to push the ram or you will wreck the ram as well...

In a cocker the ram pushes against the back block and cocks the cocking rod and the bolt allows a ball in... Since your cocking rod is your bolt as well as your back block your gonna have some trouble... you have to make it so that the rear bolt is cocked by the ram and then the ram needs to reset... next you need to have the front bolt still connected to the ram to keep it in the firing position... then after firing both bolts need to come back... So really you need to have the front bolt connected at all times, and the rear bolt only connected in the recocking cycle... attaching it to the linkage arm like in your website is gonna make a big mess.

The pro carbine altough technically closed bolt was still a blowback and thus would have had little to no improvement. To make this worth the effort you should get rid of the blowback...

also,
I estimate it taking about a day or two working on it to actually figure out where everything mounts... does anybody have any suggestions on how to mount the 3-way?

how big is the 3way? if you dont have a vertical adapter maybe you could house it in there? or maybe the front grip?

the 3-way is super small....tiny about the diam of maybe 2- 2 1/2 cm....

well.... if the inside where the vertical adapter is is large enough maybe you could put it there?

Hey, I've got some pics....
Here they are...
one is of the 3-way...I decided to mount it inside where the Response Trigger would go, I had to put some really fat o-rings around the 3-way so that it would stay stable.

also, i punched out that hole that you use on the side of the gun for the r/t and used it to run the hoses through....

heres the pics.

that thing better stay in tight or else it would move and **** up your timing, also are you makign some custom timing rod because that is to close to the trigger, have you ever seen an autococker, go look at one, and tell me what you learn

yeah, i know its close
im going to custom make the rod, and reverse the thingy so that instead of the rod being pulled by the trigger, it will be pushed. and btw, the orings keep that 3-way pretty dang tight...I shaked the gun hard up and down and the 3-way stayed unmoved.

more to come.

looking good on the 3way and those hoses... but you really need to find a way to make the back bolt go back only with the ram.... The Pro-Carbine still had blowback, he disconnected the linking arm and set the ram to it... If you really want to get good perf you need to make the ram pull the bolt back...

Your 3 way shouldnt be a problem... i didnt see if you have an adjustable 3 way... i would suggest one since you will have to play with the size of your throw and you may need it to cycle at a really short or really long throw...
