So as we all know no marker ever ships with the same velocity as another... even from the same assembly line and same maker on the same day.

Anyway... I was not able to get my M3 Sniper above 195fps on the stock set up. Of course this is totally unacceptable. So in the pursuit of more velocity and a more consistent marker here is what I did.

First I went and read otters pages...

Bought Mainspring kit and installed purple spring. That got me to 225fps.

Marker was not firing consistantly so I wanted to adjust the sear and try a weaker valve spring to try and bring my velocity up.

Dumb me I made several changes at once.

Since I was tearing the marker down I did all of this at once (my mistake).

I installed my Taso Turbo Vavle using a Lapco cup seal.

Installed 32 degree black valve spring

Put it together.... HUGE VALVE AIR LEAK!!!!

Orings... I spent an hour trying to get that valve installed without cutting a hole in the o ring from pushing it past the screw holes. NEVER was able to do it no matter what trick I tried. Tried stock cup seal and taso cup seal. NEver was able to stop the leak.

Gave up on TASO... Installed stock valve with lapco cup seal. Air leak. Installed the stock cup seal.

No LEAK.... BURRRRRRRRP.... sh1t!!!

Put in stock valve spring. BRRRRRRRRRP.

Put in stock main spring.... BRRRRRP

Put in 32 heavy main spring. Fires... get the sear adjusted marker works fine now.

No Idea of my velocity....

So my question....

How the heck am I supposed to get a new vavle in there if they dang body keeps cutting the o-ring.... and what o-ring should I use and what cup will actually seal???

I checked several times and yes the large hole goes to the front and was in correctly.

Not that any of this matters... maybe I should put everything I have in a box and send it to Otter and have him tune it. As Kaibutsu knows I hate to have someone else tune my stuff.... but last night I almost shot myself... good thing the marker wouldn't fire... LOL

Any thoughts or input?

well if you changed your springs and still came out at only 225 then try check your pressure it may not be high enough

um as for the taso valve... i just oiled the orings and very carfuly pushed it into the body the orings did get stuck at the holes so i used the hex wrench i had to push them back in to the slots as i pushed the valve in to the body
i did cut one and i replaced it with a tank oring im not sure thats a real great idea but it did work

it could be the light valve spring cant keep the valve closed cause of all the pressure the hard main spring is putting on it. Try a harder valve spring

I'll have to try that trick in getting the taso valve in...

As for the spring combo... I really wish there was some rule of thumb... but unfortunately no one will tell you what to do... they say... bring it in or send it in and for $150 we can tune it for you.... Bite me!

Looks like I am going to be buying a Chrono and spending days at a time trying to get this thing to shoot at 295 and 245.... (outdoor and indoor speeds).

Not that it matters much... but my brothers spyder was shooting 325 out of the box.... he had to go to the lowest velocity spring to get below 250 and he is at 248....

For $100 less for the marker...

Why did we buy these M3's again?

As for air pressure and regulation? Is 750psi through a Vigilante any good?

Mark... Deburr the screw hole for the VA. That hole tore several of my o-rings before I deburred it. I wet sanded the top of the hole with some leftover 600grit.

I had thought about wet sanding... but it is better to just ***** about poor craftmanship... ;)
