I have a rebel with 6stage expansion chamber and a 12" Teardrop barrel. is this bad? I got flammed because of my rebel and personaly i dont really like how it performs. I am thinking of moving to a Shutter or Xtra because i am still a newbie but not as low as i was so u know what i mean right? whats should i do?

rebal isn't "bad" but its not the best too. i would say buy a spyder and keep the barrel. i think the rebal is spyder threads. Shoot a spyder(any kind they all feel the same) and compare it to a rebal

a pirahna woudl also be a good bet, I prefer them over spyders, but shoot both, and see which you prefer. yeah rebels are spyder threaded and so are piranhas, so do keep the tear drop, they are nice barrels.

sure why not?....i hear the Xtra is a nice gun....or you could look at the terminator T3......there awesome, my opinion is that it is better than a spyder or a tippman......just my opinion...i like spyders i just didn't want to get one.......you can look at the terminator at http://www.paintballstar.com .....they preform pretty sweet....and look awesome......

I haven't heard good things about terminators, and I don't like the way they look, the fore-grips are too far from the trigger frame, there isn't as many upgrades as a spyder or piranha, and if you have a problem with one, not many people have them, or know about them, so it would be harder to find help.

well I own one and I know like 5 people as well that own them and if you need any help just give me a call....anyways....there aren't that many upgrades because It really doesn't need any......I have had mine for a little long while and I haven't had a problem with it at all.....most of the reviews that say its bad probably have never even tried it because there short and they only really say " they suck...get a spyder or a tippman." Well if you asked any of the other people that have one they will say that it rocks......the grip is a perfect distance from the trigger, allows faster snap shooting.... and it has a really nice stock trigger pull too......but If I ever turned in to a tourney player I would probably get a autococker or a matrix or whatever comes near my budget.......

I would say stick with the rebel. You can save for an electronic marker while learning with a nice beginner marker like the rebel. Save up for the em1 or an impulse or shocker or even an angel. Or you could buy a spyder or piranha and later get a booyaah frame or a hyper frame to go electronic. I started with the sts g2 piranha, and upgraded it in this order, Pure Energy 48/3000 nitro tank with macro line and pmi perfect drop forward cradle, eVLution loader, dye 12" boomstick, and boo-yaah E-LCD trigger frame. I am happy with this set up, but I don't think it can be achieved with a rebel. However the rebel, from my experience, and the piranha and the spyder perform the same stock. They are all low end semi auto blow back crap designed for the beginning paintball player. I am sure an expert like richy c or twich would agree. Am I wrong?

those hyper frames look so awesome .......when I get N2 on my gun I will probably get one.....but I will probably be wanting a more high end semi or an electro by the time I decide to get the Hyper Frame.......

A rebel is practically the same exact thing as a Spyder. The internals are almost identical. The thing I like better about the Rebel is that it uses US fittings instead of metric. Much easier to add aftermarket parts.
It does take Spyder barrels so you're the same on that as well.

I'd keep the Rebel over buying a Spyder. I doubt you'd see much change at all. If you want to upgrade, save up for something more high end like an Intimidator. Otherwise, you'd be spending money to stay where you're already at.

Thanks.
Mike

I would just like to say that inferno's take a lot of spyder parts and are what I consider fully upgradable. You can replace the grip frame, bolt, barrel, put a drop forward on it, and a good reg, what else do you need? They are super nice for the money, ROF rocks, looks awesome, better quality than any spyder, pirahna, model 98, or rebel. I almost bought one...the only reason I didnt is because I thought it would be stupid going from a blowback to another blowback. Although I can honestly say I take the FEEL of a inferno terminator or heat over a stock cocker or mag anyday.

I have a rebel LE and I am getting rid of because of bad customer service and a reputation of breaking. I like how it shoots, but I don't want to deal with its problems.

If you are gonna get the new gun, definitely get a high grade gun. Don't go back to a blow back. Like I'm planning on getting an impulse very soon. If it wasn't for having no nitro I would get a bushmaster.

A cocker or mag would be a good choice.

Cocker are great if you are willing to spend the time and money upgrading them. Very few guns are better than a tricked out cocker.
