View Full Version : Making the Sacrifice, Taking the Plunge

I've been wanting to get some upgrades for my marker for a while. To that affect, I decided not to play for the next three weeks, or until the tax returns come in, so that I can buy a Nitro tank, new barrel, regulator and maybe a Revvy.

It's a big sacrifice, and I'm already in "splatter withdrawals," but it's a sacrifice that will pay off Very Very soon.

Anyway, here's the want list:
Crossfire 47 or 51 cubic inch preset 3000 psi tank.
PMI Pure Energy regulator
Smart Parts Teardrop barrel
and, of course, a Revvy.

I'm not 100 percent on the Revvy, it's not like I really need one. A friend put one on his Spyder SE and he really likes it. If I go with the Revvy I'll probably get a better elbow also. I'm sure there's probably something else I could use more than a Revvy, but I just can't think of it now.

If I could just scrap up another $200 or $300, I'd just buy a Automag RT. But then I'd have to call it my Wish List.

I am going through withdrawl also. I haven't gone in 2 weeks almost now.
I have been saving to get a AGD 68ci 3000psi system. I still need at least $100. So I hope my Spyder TL, mask and acesories sell so I have enough for the tank, a few upgrades and money for a couple of weeks of paintballing.

good idea buy that stuff and if you bought an rt you will still need hpa is a must other wise youd be better off with a talon and a revy is a must unless you dont want to shoot faster than 6-7 bps

good list....but you might just want to rethink the size of that tank.......the 68ci is just a little bigger than a 20oz CO2...but you will get about 200 more shots than the 48ci...

I went from a 20oz CO2 to a 68ci crossfire....with almost no noticable weight gain....remember a full 20 oz tank weighs 20oz more than it does empty...

even if you dont have a gun you can still help. Run around on the field and distract the enemy. They will be so mad that they cant hit an unarmed person that they wont notcie your friend come up and put their barrel to their head. I have seen this work, and it is quite halarious when the win belongs to the man without a gun!

I play every weekend, sometimes twice a weekend. The price structure isn't that bad. Play more than twice a month and you don't have to pay field fees for the rest of the month.

The expensive thing is paint. I go through about two cases a month. With shipping that's about $100 or a little more. A lot more if I buy paint at the field.

So, maybe if I go three weeks without playing, plus the little bit I'm taking from the tax returns, I could actually get a Automag RT, plus air. HMMMm .... things that make you think.

that whole list sounds great xcept 4 de tank, you gona want a 68 more than a 47 or 51, either the crossfire or the PMI one will do fine, good to hear your gettin more up grades, and good though on the reg, best for the money

I actually considered a 68ci tank, but i can't believe how much the price jumps from the 47 to the 68. That's why I put the 51 on the list. If I remember right the 51 is good for about 450 or 500 shots.

The crossfire 47 is under $100. the 57 is about $110 and then I think the price for a 68 Crossfire jumps to close to $150. The PMI 68 is about $130. I got these prices from PaintballGear. I think they are probably very close on BBTpaintball, though they don't carry the PMI Pure Energy tanks. I'm only gonna order from the company where I can get the entire list.

thats about two fills a day of playing...maybe three because you don't want to get short on air....

I just think the 48 and 51 ci is just a bit to small....for my liking anyway...and the 68 ci Crossfire is 134.99 at paintballgear.

The great thing about it, two weeks is a lot of time to reconsider the original list. I tell ya, I probably never should have ever considered posting that about the Automag RT ... For about the last two hours I've been scheming about the best way to finance one ... I've been bitten by the Upgrade bug, and now I need a new fix ...

Automag RT
68 ci tank
Cradle
Barrel ........ $700

Things that make you go HMMMM !

If you want to save alittle money Shocker works very well on CO2 just need an antisiphon tube or run remote. Buy the marker and then save for the N2 another time.
