Isn't paintball just the greatest sport ever? You can talk about it for hours....

I mean i play some really competitive soccer and lacrosee, and you cant really talk about equipment or tactics very easily.

It is very unusually to hear soccer players talking about their shoes and shinguards and asking WHICH IS BETTER? :) hehe noobs

But same in lacrosee and other sports i imagine..u dont talk about your equipment much.

that is what makes paintball such a unique sport (haven't deterimined if it is good or bad.....1) its good cause its fun to talk about 2) if you have a good setup you get branded its all your gun)

I mean honestly? there are so many forums about paintball...

i always wanted to vision SoccerDojo.com or something and look at how boring all the threads would be :)

Me too. Paintball guns almost remind me of making a model train set. You keep adding parts on, and making your gun your own. And then when you are finished, you get to play with what you created!! However, I must say shooting a paintball gun is a lot more fun than building a train set.

Thats true but isn't it sweet how you can talk about paintball guns so long? i mean..there is such a diversity.. and its not like you can go upgrade your soccer shoe :D .. so i just think thats really cool

and its also fun workin on your gun.. workin/upgrading cars and paintballguns are two of my fav things to do

I just graduated from high school. I'M DONE!! I'M DONE!! LA LA LA LA LA!! Just needed to get that out. I feel for you man, I hated junior year, and the first half of senior year kinda sucked for me too.

Did you see the movie the fast and the furious? They had some of the sweetest cars I have ever seen in that movie. I want that orange supra!! Ne way, if you do trick out a car, post some pictures. That would be cool.

my brother had a train set..it seems like a cool hobby but it also seems WAY TO EXPENSIVE FOR JUST TO WATCH A TRAIN GO IN CIRCLES

how bad was expenses? did you get into that hobby much?

I never did it. lol. But I have seen a lot of them. One of my friend's dad had one. It took up his entire basement. It was huge. I would expect that it would cost a lot and take up too much time.

Paintball's really cool, but I like track and cross-country more. Paintball is more of a hobby. But the best thing about paintball is it fills everyone's need to shoot people ;)

However, I do do some modelling. There are some of my gundam models (my favorites). They are fully pose-able and completely hand-painted. Every piece (250 each) is painted. Hope you like them. I am just linking the pictures 'cause they are kinda big (around 200 kb).

You can talk about paintball for hours because you play it, you enjoy it, you think about it enough to have some intelligent and thoughtful things to say about it. I haven't played paintball enough to talk about it for hours (though I read about it for hours on end. :) ) But I've played baseball enough and I could talk for hours about it easily. Everything from the execution of a double play to the strategies employed for pitching to different people. I'm not saying that baseball is better, just that people think that their sport is the best, because they understand what's going on. I went to a football game today and I was bored out of my mind for most of it, while my friend who played in highschool was totally into it.

And yeah, you can talk about upgrading your guns, much like upgrading a car for racing, and you can't talk about upgrading your gear for volleyball (heh), or soccer, or whatever, but its a different type of sport completely. I imagine in the end though, it ends up all the same, at the upper levels of both sports, gear is less relevant, and technique plus the mental game become the focal points of the players. One thing about paintball though, it seems for some reason a large percentage of the people in the sport believe their gear is incredibly important and a large part of their ability as a player. That sucks. And if its true, (and I think to a limited extent it is) that sucks even more. That's one thing about baseball, football, or basketball, its not about your gear, its about your personal ability, purely your talent and work ethic to train yourself to be better.
