View Full Version : Going to a field

I just bought a paintball gun and am planning on going to play paintball this weekend and I need help. Here are my questions:

-What to bring(try to keep it smaller than the other list and also I have a Tipmann so no electronic gun stuff with no revy but planning to get one soon)

-What to bring it in(I'm guessing a backpack or a regular bag)

-Do I need a parent to come with me(I'm 13)

-Do I need to bring food or money if so how much?

-Do I need a change of clothes?

Thats all the questons I have to ask. Well, there's prolly more but I'll remember later. Also if you have a Co2 tank for sale for around $5.00, I'm interested and my friend wants to get into paintball but he doesn't want to spend much money, so if you have a complete kit(Co2 tank, mask, gun, o-rings, and an elbow) for under $90.00 and its not a Brass Eagle or anything like that aim me at bribri6173.

Peace out and thankz:elaugh:

to bring - this would change from person to person, it mainly depends on you. what i bring is (besides the gun, mask, hopper) is a rag, water bottle.
you would mostly likely have to have the parent sign the wavier form due to you being under 18.
bringing money is a good idea, e-mail them first to see if they even sell refreshments, and also get the price.
i don't bring extra clothes, but if you plan on getting pretty dirty and that stuff, then why not.

Wear a cup if you have one. Or use a folded sock or something. Ive seen some scary stories about being pegged in the nuts.
If they dont have refreshments or all they have is coke or pepsi, take a cooler of water or gatorade.
Extra elbow is nice too if you want to be cautious, since last time i played my elbow cracked and i lost a lotta paint. First day i used it too.

Thanks for the help guys still open for other opinions though. Do I take all this stuff in a bag?

that would have to be a pretty big hopper and pod to carry all my stuff in.

If you have a big sports bag or something you could put it all in there like one of my friends does.
I just take my marker and mask seperate and put everything else in a backpack.

-What to bring(try to keep it smaller than the other list and also I have a Tipmann so no electronic gun stuff with no revy but planning to get one soon)
You will need
Marker
Hopper
Elbow
Co2/Nitro tank
Oil
Squeggie
Mask
Parts kit (O-rings, cupseal, screws, burst disks, allen wrenches)
Barrel plug

Those are the bare essentials

What to bring it in(I'm guessing a backpack or a regular bag)

Yea a backpack or bag will do, whatever you have

-Do I need a parent to come with me(I'm 13)

You will need your parents to fill out a release form, so if you get hurt the field doesn't get sued. Does you field have a website? If they do you can usually print one off of there, if not your parent will have to fill one out for you at the field. They will not have to stay.

-Do I need to bring food or money if so how much?

Yes, you should probably bring food, check to see if your field sells food.
Yes! Bring Money! How do you think you get in? This isn't charity! Normally it should be about 10 bucks entry fee, 40 bucks for 1000 balls, and 5 bucks for fills. Check how much your field charges for everything. Bring however much that adds up to, then bring 20 bucks extra, you will spend more, trust me

-Do I need a change of clothes?

Does your Mom want a dirty vehicle? I think not

Actually, this depends on the field. At the field I go to (Badlandz), if you're over 18, only you need to sign the release form. If you're 17, your parent has to cosign it, but they don't have to stay. If you're under 17, they have to sign and stay on the field.

i would bring a lunch and enough drinks to hold you down for the day, i'm sure the office there wouldn't mind holding your things

ask the driver of whoevers taking you if they mind that you may be extremely dirty when they take you home, if it's a bus company and you're paying to rent it then they better not mind! -- most don't

Yeah, just take your barrel off and throw everything in a backpack. Just remember to take it out before school the next day! And you may wanna bring a little ice for the welts. Not saying I do, but just a thought. And bring a cotton rag for your lens. Have fun!

He won't need ice unless his field isnt chronoing. And if his field isn't chronoing he shouldnt be playing there, nor should anyone else.

You mean there are mean people in the world who would do that!?

I still don't think it's a reason to bring ice... but if you want to go ahead

caleb i noticed you have a 47/3 nitro tank, about how many shots do you squeeze out of it with your spyder?

i know a few people who want to buy nitro but don't want to spend much on the 68/3 tanks
